Game Over.... Lily of Laguna playing on the radio.
I'll recap - but remember, I really don't know if these guys knew who our players were. Every time the ball went forward it went to Fev (not Fish or Waite), and I never heard Bower mentioned once, but the other blokes heard him mentioned on their station a lot.
Libba pleased - thought guys had a really good effort. Nick Stevens played well. They reckon last week was an aberration. Players just need to compete really hard. Chances of eight... must be realistic, but are hoping to get up to tenth.
If you ring ABC radio now you might be able to win a footy signed by Denis, Stevens, Worsfold, and Banfield. Tell 'em how much Swans won GF by.
Stevens interviewed. Players let themselves down against PA. Eagles had a lot out, but good that everyone put in a real effort. Stevens then hauled into shed.
Fev 5 goals, Waite 3, Fish 2, Murphy 1, Betts 1
Lynch 3, Le Cras 2, Armstrong, Staker etc etc for Eagles.
Back to commentators: No really big high marks - but Aussie Rules is about contests, and we saw all that tonight. Blokes were doing disciplined and team things. Both coaches would go away very pleased with the efforts of their players. Carlton can take away that their blokes were doing the hard things. Second and third tier Carlton players better than those of Eagles - Bentick, Scotland, Bryan, Davies, and Simpson named in this group. Plenty of depth for Carlton to look forward to in future. Carlton can feel fairly satisfied with performance.
Jarrad Waite played a good service-like game. Complements Fev and always presents. Played on Adam Hunter.
Game played at a quick pace - with running from one end of ground to the other. Pressure much higher at AFL level (duh!)
Dylan McLaren a big man who did great job in ruck, around the ground, and also in defence.

And that's it from the ABC commentators.

Loved the work you put in guys..

Great win and will go along way to instilling some belief into the future for the kids.

A win in Alice Springs easy for us.. as a matter of fact i doubt we have ever lost there.... :-D

milestone...!!!

So those calling for Pagan's head last week, where would they be now?

Great news, but it's only a praccy match.

I'm not that fickle Deano.
I still want him gone.

Thanks guys that was great.

It's the Doggies at Lavington next Friday night. I suppose it will be broadcast live in Albury/Wodonga.

so how exactly did Fev play, coz if he kicked 5 and he is still not ready i think that's a pretty good effort

No mention at the close of commentary about Murphy. That will have to be one for the training watchers next week. Sorry guys - just relaying what I heard on the radio about bandaged left calf.

Hard to say exactly how Fev went Fevolution. Sounded as if he played the whole game. Players sounded like they were looking for him when they got it. I think he missed a few shots as well. The commentators just reckon he looks big and strong. He was the prime avenue to goal for the first three quarters, before Waite and Fish chipped in for the last quarter. A few of the goals from Fev were kicked from outside of 50.
