Who should be given the right to have First crack at our CHF spot??

Waite, Fisher, Deluca, OhAilpin or someone else??

I think Fevola-Waite is our best CHF-FF pairing. With Fish and on a Flank and Carlos in a Pocket.

I think Waite or Fisher too, probably Waite coz of his extra height, Fish would take probably the 3rd or 4th best back which he could exploit with his marking ability.

There's this kid who's on our list called Josh Kennedy who I think might just take that position in a year or two. Here's hoping anyway... :-D

De Luca can't mark.

Setanta doesn't have enough experience to play the 'hardest position'.

It's out of Waite and Fisher. Waite probably just wins but Fisher makes a fine HFF.

Well I think Kennedy will be our CHF in 2007-2008 But this year Waite should be there. The beauty of Having Fev-Kennedy at FF-CHF is that Fish and Waite can exploit the 3rd and 4th Best Defender with Raw talent and Pace and Marking Abilty which Italian Styles said . Also Carlos can take the "Worst" Defender and Get good game Experience. Imagine having Waite and Fish on Half Forward Flanks!!!

Waite:Kennedy:Fisher

In a year or 2 that is an A class Half Forward Line. With Betts, Setanta and Fev In the Forward Pockets and FF. In 2006 we are going to have a Top 8 Midfield But Our Midfield and Backline May let us Down. Come 2007 with a few More Draft Picks We are looking at Having the Hardest to Match up on Forward line in The Comp. And with a Midfield of Stevens, Bentick, Walker, Simpson, Carrazzo, Scotland, Russell, 2006 Draft Pick, Blackwell, Houlihan Delivering it in We are Going for top 8 Next Season for Sure.

I think Bryan should be tried there for 5-6 games to see if he can crack it.

I assume that the spot will be Kennedy's in the next year or two, although Aisake might be the one to take over there eventually.

We will get him in this years draft. I hope Kennedy can get used to CHB.

:-D All reports are that Kennedy will be a gun who can play CHB or CHF in a few years, lets just hope we don't put to much pressure on this "kid"....

Kennedy at CHF with
Fev at FF have
Rotate Fisher from Forward Pocket (to help FEV) or Half forward flank
Im Hoping Waite turns into a wingman! (An attacking winman who pushes up to the forward flank

i think Waite should be on the wing also. He could be very much like a Bret Burton type. I agree with the call on Bryan - give him a go.

Lachlan Hansen = CHB.

Im hoping we get this kid, by all accounts, he's like a better marking Nick Riewoldt who plays at half back.

I always liked the idea of tall, athletic wingmen that can run and mark....the ones that are hard to match up, ala Kouta....I hoped Prenders, Waite types could do it!....I don't know if Prenders will ever be settled into a preferred position.

So I really like the type of player you're after Pickle, namely Burton of Adelaide on a wing, and would like to see Waite's talent spread around the ground from the wing. A good mark will make an ideal linkman.

As mentioned above, I would like to see Bryan tried at CHF for 5 games...give him a few weeks to learn something about CHF, (I would not expect him to learn everything about the position in 5 weeks)...and the role wouldn't be completely alien to him as he has a background in playing as a ruck forward.

This means Fish is taken by the 3rd best tall backman, as Big Bodied Bryan proves a handful for the opposition's best backman, Fev runs around the full back and gees does that mean Setanta takes the 4th best....that's a better match up for him.

It's not too top heavy when you consider the athletism of Setanta and Fish.

We seem to have a lot of tall options for the forward line for a few years:

Fevola, Whitnall, Bryan, Waite, DeLuca, Setanta.... Kennedy, Hartlett, even McLaren, Thornton, Livo and maybe even Raso....and Hansen???

Licking my lips.

THE EMPIRE WILL STRIKE BACK!!

..for CHF yer gotta at the very least give Bryan a go.. ..he's got strong hands, and a good sized frame so he won't be bounced around too much by solid CHB's.. ..but instead of having him run forward as most CHF's do these days, i'd have him drift back between the 50m arc and the centre square, and play in the oldschool CHF possie.. ..he makes for a good marking target for the running halfback flankers, and with his big boot he can pepper the goalsquare from long range.. ..and run Fisher and Waite off the flanks.. ..i'd like to see Whit's back in a pocket again, you know he's not gonna be much good as a foward for that much longer so we best get our real use out of him..

IMO Bryan is too short to play ruck and too slow to play KPP. Pity given his kicking strength. We have got no one really to fill the role immediately. Would give Fisher a go first because of his aerial strength in marking contests and his excellent ground skills for a tall player.

Josh Kennedy = CHB.

James Sellar; I'm hoping we get this kid, by all accounts he has Kernahan like leadership skills but is a much better athlete, can play ruck or key-forward.

Kennedy will play CHF longterm and I've copped a spray from someone for suggesting he might be able to play at CHB. 8)

A bit early to look at this year's draft but I hope we go for Hansen or Thorp. Both have the potential to play at both ends of the ground and that Port result exposed a gaping hole at full back/CHB in our team.

That needs to be addressed urgently and I hope we don't reach for a Ruckman-key forward with a likely top 4 pick.

We'll see Juzz'. I just hope we have not put ourselves into a little bind in which we have to overlook the best player...

That sort of thing is a big pain in the 'You know where' that we can live without.
