1 A functioning midfield
2 Reducing the pressure on our defence
3 Thus Livo and Thornton close down the 2 danger men Neitz and Robertson

15 Carlton players had 15 possessions or more. That was unheard of last year.

Carlton won the game with a 3-man bench for 3/4 of the game.

Fevola's defensive work rate. I've never seen it so consistent over a whole game. Never dropped his head.

Scotland copping a hit to the head, then knocking 32 possessions.

Kade Simpson best game of his career. The incident where he took on a rampaging Pickett (and got crunched, then got up again) stamped it for me.

Waite becoming a presence. Imagine a Forward line with Waite, O'hAilpin and Fevola firing. :P~~~~

Carrazzo also a Carlton career high.

But the biggest positive for me was that the team seemed to believe in each other. They ran hard for one another, put their body on the line (most of them anyway) to get the ball to their team mate. And I think that can really win games.

And who is this Marc Murphy character? Never heard of him ;)

Murphy was GREAT...Fantastic debut...17 possies and a goal, what more could you want??
Simmo...He provides run and his disposal is always excellent and he has courage personified
Fevola...Well, what a great game...Great work rate...5 goals...FANTASTIC
Waite...Kicking is still a bit of a worry but what a great game...
Walker...IMO best game since his debut...Provided run and drive out of hal-back and looks like he is ready to step up..

Betts, Thornton, Scotland, Stevens, Carrazzo, LIVO, Whitnall, Mcgrath...EVERYONE PLAYED WELL!!!

Oh and DP is lookin very slim, must have a new diet...

GREAT EFFORT BLUES KEEP IT UP!!!! :-D

Livo impressed me in the first 15 minutes, and he stayed composed all game. He looked like a differnt player, I hope he has turned the corner.

Eddie Betts - Star

Fev - What a game - how much did he run and how hard did he try

Houla - Hard

Scotland - Harder

Waite (forget his kicking) BOG

Murph

Murph :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Thornton and Lapping looking like the Lapping and Thornton of old(or new in Bretts case)

@#$%&! im happy

Already have my Gold Membership sorted. I was going to put it on the Roos as I thought they were good value, but Carlton were better value. 8) . Actually first time I have bet on a footy game with a betting agency. :-D

There was 22 players playing as a team.

The ability to fight it out when Melbourne was coming back in the last qrt - shows character.

In the words of big Kev - I'm EXCITED

It was a complete team effort.

Even players like Sporn, who the knob jockeys continually take delight in bagging, played well.
