although this was a great Win, i would like our Supporters to point out few errors or mistakes that We can improve on for our next match, and the season ahead....

1- Fisher is a real loss... his hammy means he will be out for 3-4 matches.... his absence did hurt us a bit, as he is very important to our set up

2- I was concerned about our game plan, and slightly disaponited... Sure it has worked today, and we got a win by simply playing like Sydney of last year... Flooding like hell, and then counting on our work rate to run off the opponents.. Today this worked well, becuase we gave it All, But do u think denis will stick to this game plan for the rest of the season??

if he does, that means every game we will play will be very low scoring, and if one team does beat us tactically, it will yet again be very ugly....

3- Our kicking for goal was very disapointing.... shots from 30m directly in front and on the Run should never be missed... Waite, bets and few others missed easy easy shots.... i hope they improve...

Apart from these 3 points, i can hold my head high.... very proud of them.. Great effort.... :)

I didn't put any money on us or pick us in the footy tipping.

1. So its a hammy ? Looked like an ankle from where I was?
2. There'll be lots of teams following the leader with Sydney, but I think it's a lot more complicated than that. We appear to have modified a fast entry game plan with a short pass option about 45 degs from the kicker, which they tried pre-season as well. I'd like to ask BV to summarise this in a thread here because I'm still not following it all. Thank god for having Foxtel installed last week - I can try to work it out. But for all this flooding discussion - just bear in mind that many, if not all, teams have the flood as one tool in the armoury. Melbourne flooded at times tonight, we flooded at times. 'Game PLan' goes a lot deeper than that, and I thought our teaming at half-back and around the congestion, plus our 45degs kicking option was great to watch.
3. Shit yeah.

were you there!!!!! Melbourne flooded more than we ever did. Our gameplan meant Melbourne didn;t know what to do, we concedeed their short kick but stopped their run

Mind you Pagan was obviosuly outcoached, we was lucky (another absolutely huge :garthp: )

fishers injury was definitely a negative. On a positive note, it no one has suggested that the injury has anything to do with his knees.

game plan was a definite positive - we played a lot more to our lists's strengths

ABC radio's boundary doctor (forgotten his name) said Fisher came off with a hammy

actually there were negatives/areas where we could improve from this game - they might be discussed later in the week. What do you gain by trying to antagonise certain posters immediately after a win by the club? - It only brings the mood of the board down.

Had we lost today the positives would still have outweighed the negatives given the commitment/passion for the jumper. That is all that is asked.

Seems like you're trying to antagonise me.

I intend to gain financially, through posting on TC. I have a six figure deal in the pipe line. And no knob end will get in my way!

Sporn was ordinary even with a goal to his name.Doesnt deserve a game.Chambers may be a chance .You need plenty of run at Suuby.

Hopefully O'Hailpin can come in from the calf strain to replace Fish.Dead stiff Fisher deserves a change of luck.

Didn't get a lot of game time. Made it hard to get into the game. Did kick a good goal at a critical stage of the match.

Why do we need this thread anyway!!!

absolutely - if denis can get the list playing with that intensity for the season then even if we lose every game from here, I would support him - here is hoping that we win a few more though - starting with freo ;)

You could have waited until later in the week before posting criticism of a player's performance or querying there spot in the team.

It's a discussion board, not a psychiatry session!

Great phrase by the way - I gather it has a specific origin ? Or is it just the latest phrase up in Queensland?
