I thought i would ask this question as Merc Murphy had a fantastic debut and was easily a reason we won.

Does anyone think that Kennedy can top that?

Is Kennedy as good a key position player, as Murph is a midfielder?

After all they are both effectively 1st pick's. 8)

A question for those that have seen them both play at TAC level.

Quite possibly.

As I said in another thread. It wasn't that Marc dominatd with his possessions or anything (although 17 is a pretty sharp debut), but when he got the ball he sure knew what to do with it. That pass to Fev in the 3rd/4th? quarter when the game was still on the line was awesome.

From what I've heard about Kennedy he is the same sort of natural footballer. I don't think we're going to be dissapointed when he makes his debut.

Gee that's pretty soothing knowing you have a CHF that can do that.

I think i am going to bed to have a really good night's sleep.

If you're looking for a CHF positive i think you should talk up Waite, i thought he showed that he was centimeters rather than meters behind Reiwoldt last night

He isn't a Porsche or Ferrari like Deledio and Judd and that's an appropriate slip of the tongue. Marc is just a class act with his poise and he's appears as dependable and consistent as a Mercedes Benz.

How is Kennedy travelling at the minute?

Out: Fisher (injured)
In: Kennedy

More likely out Fisher in O'hAilpin.

Talls tend to take a bit longer to get going, especially at Josh's age, but I reckon Josh will have a tremendous impact when he makes the seniors. From seeing him in action against (albeit depleted) Coburg he was great. Just works really hard and presents all day.

And when he does step up I think he will be a mainstay. And if Waite stays across HF then it will put a lot of pressure on Carlos, ADL and to a much lesser extent Fisher to stay in the forward line without going to tall.

Could now be:
Out: Fisher(injured), Waite (Suspended)
IN: O'hAilpin, Kennedy

Not out of the question yet. Doesn't sound like many Carlton people saw the "trip" and it may come to nothing, but it would be ironic if Kennedy got his first game in WA.

I think marci's a good judge...bigger blokes take a bit more time but when Kennedy does make the team I think he will be a fixture...dont expect him to debut with a bang like Walker or Murphy but be workmanlike and provide a contest and then build up to being the powerhouse KPP that we need...very exciting to see Murphy play but I think many including myself regard Kennedy as a equal major component for our future...
I equate Marc Murphy to Luke Ball...and see them as opposing captains in years to come....

Spot on JuzzCarlton

I could definetly see Merc captaining the side in a few years. As a vice captain first under nick Stevens, or Lance whitnall.

Waite killed CHF last night but i would like him to develop into a wingman eg Andrew Embly.
That means come on down to CHF for Josh Kennedy!
