Carlton & Indesit team up

[quote]The successful start to the 2006 season for the Carlton Football Club continued today with the announcement that Indesit will be the official ball sponsor for Carlton and of Carlton’s grassroots schools programme, ‘Kick it like Kouta’.

The Indesit brand will feature on the match ball for all Carlton home games in 2006, commencing with Carlton’s first home game against Sydney in round three. This announcement follows Carlton’s victory in round one and a number of key sponsorship announcements in recent weeks.........

.........The “Indesit Kick it like Koutaâ€

Fantastic news for the Club - whats that, 2 new sponsors in 2 weeks. That is cracking news on the back of the win.

2 questions:
1. How much would a ball sponsor expect to cough up?
2. What the hell is an indesit?

1. Dunno, but they are appearing at home games with a comp too so they're injecting a little more on top of ball sponsorship - good news.
2. Whitegoods.

The ‘Indesit Kick it like Kouta’ competition will be promoted through local schools and provide children with the opportunity to participate in an interactive goal kicking machine outside the ground at Carlton’s home games being played on Sunday’s in 2006. Participants will have the chance to ‘Kick it like Kouta’ on the ground prior to the game, by kicking a football into an inflatable Indesit washing machine. The winner of the competition before each game will win an Indesit washing machine for their school and an Indesit branded match ball signed by Anthony Koutoufides.

Yay for the school - a washing machine. They didn't really think that one through. :P

Welcome aboard Indesit.

I'm buying one whatever it is....I'll find out.

Howabout that? A multi national, a European based Corporation, a leader in style, has searched abroad to find an associate that can refelect the values of their distinguished brand. They have come to the conclusion that Carlton is the perfect partner to reflect their message of quality.

Great value being a Carlton sponsor.

Roll up Roll up Roll up...come on sponsors, come on members, come on the kids, come on the wins.

So its whitegoods? :?

Good news we have a new sponsor but wish we could find some better known corporate sponsors. We are starting to look like a local club.

[quote]Indesit has a strong tradition in sports sponsorship having sponsored Italian soccer giants Juventus and more recently the ATP Tennis Tour and Volleyball European and Champions League. Of Italian origin it is appropriate the Indesit Company is associated with the Carlton Football Club as we have such a strong Italian connection,â€

Its pretty obvious our head honcho's have been working feverishly behind the scenes. How must Chris Pavlou feel right now ? He's done all the hard yards to turn the place around only to be given the lemonade and sarse by a pack of ungratefull's.Chris was involved in the white goods caper and i believe his input on this one invaluable. Thanks anyway Chris. As decent a guy you would ever wish to meet.

Bad luck if you don't reveal what's going on. Having said that, needed the change and if he had've revealed it before the election they'd cop flak for a propaganda spree.

Maybe Jimmae, just making the point that Chris was a far harder worker for the club than a lot realize. For mine, workhorses like Chris are invaluable and are worth there weight in gold. And i might add,was always prepared to do the hard stuff and never blew his own trumpet.A fantastic nuts and bolts backroom bloke.

Could MC Labour have anything to do with the redevelopment of Princess Park which will happen sooner rather than later, here goes......

I have been informed that plans have already been drawn up infact have been for a some time and it will only go ahead if the AFL take over the lease because state and federal government will assist the AFL but not Carlton hence the why the AFL taking over the lease.

Now this information has come to me from someone within a partner of the AFL who will also have an involvement with the proposal.

when i find out more i will pass it on, but so far all sounds very promising.......

Fantastic news and it's great partnership to help a big Italian company break into the Australian market.

Any idea how much the deal would be worth?

I don't disagree mate but the fact is he was competing against a guy like Greg Lee and was considered to be the weakest re-election chance.

It's how it worked out and if he played a hand it's good of him, and good work but a case of too little too late.

This is great news for the club and caps off a very good start to the season. The deal would have to be six figures. Keep it up Blues!
