Negatives:

Sitting in Aisle 10, row K and having to endure the most negative, back biting bunch of Carlton supporters who criticised almost every player in Navy Blue whenever they didn't handle the ball cleanly, didn't kick perfectly etc. etc.

Tedious, pathetic and annoying.

That was the hardest Houla has ever played for carlton in his career. One point he burst through a pack gathered the ball broke a tackle and accelerated away Chris Judd style which had me double checking that it really was him.
It wasn't his most effective game but supporters want him to be tough well he was as hard at it as anyone out there.

Better than sitting in row B and having to endure old Melbourne supporters telling you to keep your hands off them when you've gone nowhere near them

I was shocked when Houla ran onto the ground as he seemed far bigger in the chest and shoulders area than last year.

He played OK, bar a single incident where he appeared to pull out of a contest.

I thought he was better in the area of not trying to avoid contact, did a very nice spoil that resulted in a goal....I thought his disposal was a tad off but overall his game was ok..

Just watched the first quarter and aside from the piddly little kick to fevola on his left foot, Houla did nothing wrong.

He put in a good spoil, he worked out of contested situations where he could and he laid a nice diving tackle.

Those who are crtitical of Houlis overall game wouldn't be happy with Elle McPherson on a deserted island.

Fair flower dinkum some players get criticized simply because of name.

I admit Houlihan jipped it once in the first quarter but after the runner spoke to him I thought he was excellent and hard at the ball. The guy knows he has to change to survive in this league and he has taken significant steps to toughen up.He was in our top 10 players on Sunday Night.

Nah, I still saw him too many times just letting the player and ball go past him, when he clearly could have got in there and tackled the opponent. Sorry but I just dont like that :P and you can stick that where the sun doesn't shine.

And I bet you were a tough old biddy on the netball courts, and all the other invasion sports that you played in and excelled at the highest level.
Hoopsy was great!

This place has gone mad. A 7 page negatives thread after opening the season up with a win.

It's a game of football, there will be some mistakes, let them go, enjoy the win.

Bloody great result from the WHOLE team.

If you read through the thread it's actually not that bad. :)

Let them go is how you get back to 2002/2003 quick smart.

My only negative was the girly headbands both lappin and houlihan wore. Made them look like Princess Grace.

Could Princess Grace kick a footy though?

I reckon you're barking up the wrong tree. Carlton has been an ugly team for years and wont become pretty quickly. Those two pretty hairdos dont change a thing.

although im told walker is a spunk.
