Last I read the AFL was hiring a consultant to do due dilligence on the proposal. That indicates the "proposal" whatever it may be, is a fairly long way along. Presumably the consultant will be given 3-4 weeks to scrutinise the deal. I would expect to hear something more about it within the next month. That's just a guess though.
