Watch for awakening of the koutaman in about 4 weeks. just in time for collingwood and Essendon*. he is still buliding up his fitness. that one hand pick up in the first qtr around half forward afer deluca drop the mark and in he ran in side 50 really bought back exciting memories of yesteryear. BE PATIENT!!! THE KOUTAMAN is coming!!!

Positives for mine.

Walker(Move him to the midfield... now!!)
Bentick(Keeps on keeping on getting the gard ball)
Livo (even if he was off for a half)
Simmo (Class)
Betts (continual forward line harrasing).
Carazzo (Is an AFL player)

and of course Fevola!!!.... (Our only current elite player and those that wanted him moved on need their heads examined)
Not only can he play football at a very high level but most requests from outside to the club are for the Fev!!!

Negatives.
Kids are still inconsistent and require true development rather than the pressure of being forced to have to win games.

Leadership lacks.

Make no mistake... a god side with a ruthless mentality would have destroyed us.

The real positive for the club and its greatest asset are the kids and Fev....

Fevola was the big plus for mine....if you have a FF kicking regular bags you are always a chance

Houlihan...thought he matured a bit that game and kept on keeping on rather than looking for somewhere to hide and keep safe...just needs to keep doing it...

Thornton...big job on Pavlich..did the business.

AW...like I said before like his workrate but Farmers three goals took the edge off his game for mine...needs to be further up the ground not left in a negative role..

Carazzo...little bloke who keeps running and has improved his disposal..fairly reliable by foot now is young carrots...

Lance....did the job after half time on McPharlin and you cnat ask much more than beating your man...

Marc Murphy..got some attention as I expected from Carr but didnt let it bother him and did ok when he was on...needs some protection as I feel other teams will rough him up physically because of his size...

Leadership lacks... who can step up as a leader then?
Waite.. or is he too young.. What about Scotland....? he has had some experience now. Who can we rely on?

Re: destroying us... who needs to when they had a helping hand from the umpires in the first 15 minutes. That was when the game was decided. What was the deal with a 50/50 contest resulting in a 50 metre penalty against Scotland? The ones against Lappin were equally baffling.

I just didn't understand the umpiring at all in this game.

We're still in the eight - that's pretty good. This is the most weeks we've spent in the eight in one season since 2001.

Negative - once again I thought I'd throw some cash against my team. Picked Freo by over 25. Tops work me. Traitor.

oh yeah Prez - what was your opinion on Farmer agaiN?

We're now only one good draft away from having the list to be a potential top four side.

well of course a good side would, that'd be why they are a good side. I'd expect geelong to absolutely belt us if we gave them that start (and we may).

We know that, we know we are a developing young side. Oh no, we are a young side trying to win. Won't learn anything with that attitude.

Just watched the game and was very happy with AW who is having more & more impact with each game.
Fevs 2nd efforts and attack on the ball/contest was fantastic.
Carrotts is ultra cool these days 8)

& just for you BW I was rapt to see Houla really running hard. Good stuff.

Was a bit peeved with Murph at one stage when he got the ball in space in defence and just jogged along allowing the Freo players up the field to drop back into position. Run hard Murph!! He does however continue to impress with his decision making under pressure. A gun no doubt.

I thought the longer the game went McLaren made more of an impact. Played with presence. Good effort.

Just for me!

He must have done well if you’re rapt with him because I think that’s the first positive thing you’ve ever said about him! (unlike someone else who just wants to remain consistent  ).

I would hope that we’re all looking to see the club advance & get behind all the players. The club did decide to stick with him (whether you agreed with it or not) & know he has a fair bit to offer, which is currently lacking. I accept he has had some deficiencies (not too many players are perfect) but has worked hard to improve those & I think we’re now seeing some results.

Hopefully he’ll keep it up. Sure is a change not seeing him bagged by everyone! :-D

andrew walkers form so far has been a big positive for me ..

disposal is improving .. doesnt look as panicky when he has the ball
showing he has great ball winning skills ..

i think murphy's arrival has helped, either released some pressure or helped him realize he can play and needs to show it

good stuff walks .. keep it up

fast becoming one of my fave players .. not quite near fish tho !
(and kouta of course)

.. go blues ..
