Well we are two weeks into the season and I am already starting to get feed up with some people’s negativity.

Sitting at the Melbourne game in round one I surprised to hear comments about Walker should be traded and that he will never be any good. Livo is no good cause...... wait no one has even giving a reason why they a no good.

Every single person has that one player that they don't like cause they can't kick, mark or is soft. I am ok with that but when your at a Carlton victory and your hearing more negatives comments than SUPPORRTIVE ones yelled at the players.

I am not having a go at threads like 'Nick Stevens Poor under pressure' or any other thread for that matter.

I just don't know how some people call themself SUPPORTERS and never SUPPORT.

I am very disappointed

Bull, I'm sure the positivity will return after a few good wins and the season doesn't look as much like an uphill slog.

We're building. It will come.

I just believe that positivity breed’s success.

I am not talking about the lack of positivity here on TC I am talking about the games.

If you can’t be positive in round 1 when can you be?

One more good draft should result in us having the list to be a top four side. Despite the draft sanctions we have recruited well in recent years:

2002: Simpson, Fisher
2003: Stevens, Walker, Scotland, Bentick, Carazzo
2004: Russell, Hartlett, Blackwell, Betts
2005: Murphy, Kennedy, Bower, Edwards, Flint, McClaren

At least I can now see light at the end of the tunnell.

:-D I agree, we should all be positive as the media do a hell of a job being negative about us.

Walker, Simpson, Waite, Carrazzo, Murphy, Fisher and Betts are going to be good players for our club and we have to be positive about these guys and also accept that they will be inconsistent at times.

There is no doubt light at the end of the tunnell and we will be a lot better than what the so called football experts have predicted.

Go Blues and lets all get behind the team.

With you 100%, Bull.

Positivity breeds confidence, which breeds success.

I hope they were planning to get Judd for him

Seriously, agree 100% with yourself and KK.

Positive attitude brings positive results. Simple.

No it doesn't, success breeds success. However, to get to the sucess stage, you need talent and that is what we have been lacking for the last few years. Now we have a raft of players under the age of 23 who will form the backbone of the team for the next 7-8 years. It is from these players that our success will come.

I can understand being negative about a loss (especially when you are not competitive), but I can not understand people being too negative over a win. We don't have many of those these days. Let's relish them and as others have said build on them.

Plenty of positivity about those talented youngsters. :) Good post.

success breeds success :garthp: umm chicken or egg - what comes first oh brilliant sage - success or success?

or maybe, just maybe, before success there is this stage, a building stage, a preparation stage, um a positive stage whereupon the things needed for success are developed, like um BEING POSITIVE, so that ONCE SUCCESSFUL, you can use your success to breed MORE success,

Yep. Why some bleat and bitch about winning is beyond me.

And BH, yes, there is a fine line between positivity and miguided blind faith.

Sheik, on any given day, more often than not, the 2 teams which take the field are pretty close in terms of overall skill and ability. Some days there's more of a gap than others, but a lot of the time, the separating factor is positivity and belief.

Would we have won that night in 2001 against Essendon* in the rain, without all our "stars" out if the players didn't believe in the team and each other? Or the 99 Prelim? I doubt it.

I'm always postive, except when we lose a practice game by 99pts and it looks like the team couldn't give a shit.

11 more wins to finals boys and girls, just think of that :-D
