Cory McGrath has been fantastic this far this year. He is composed, kicks well and his decision making is very good under pressure.

I'm not sure about that - some of his decision making leaves alot to be desired. With his kicking he takes too long to drop the ball from hand to foot

cant understande people having a dig at mcgrath, he has been a fantastic pick up. his field kicking is one of the best at the club IMO, he is a great team player and does his bit to help out team mates. puts his body on the line when need sand provides good drive from the back half.
his decision making seems okay to me although i dont get too see that many games live in the flesh.

i love Mcgrath. he's part of our big picture IMO

They giving him a dig because of his age, i presume, you can't have a team with all 18-22 year old and one guy like almost 30,and be a top side, sure he will probably not fit in a 5 year plan, but he hasn't done much wrong since being in the team to be delisted, came the end of the year,he actually does very few mistakes, some of the delisted guys are playing now, seeing what they can do in the first 10 weeks while the others in the VFL will have a go later .

What's with knocking Batson? 20 year old ruckman can't cut it? What did you expect?

If it wasn't for the 12:10 rule, we'd probably see a lot more of him in the seniors this year, along with Aisake. Here's hoping he can put some numbers up in the reserves.

I very much doubt Batson will be promoted to the senior list at the end of the year based on current output.

The 12:10 rule, will put a lot of the rookies delisted as it unlikely any will be picked up as AFL players except the possible 1, while the first year rookies both should survive,if they do well,so is it the end for Jesse D Smith,Daniel Batson and Aisake O'hAilpin, i hope they keep Aisake O'hAilpin and add him to the list in front of Jesse D Smith and Daniel Batson, but i which both of those players can have big year in the VFL and possible get a game if a injury happen to see if they can cut it in the short time they get.

What happen when the 2 years are up,can they be added as rookie again if they haven't turned 22,because Aisake O'hAilpin would learn more with another full season in the VFL while the other 2 could challenge for a spot in the AFL Team.

I though International Rookies got 3 years instead of 2. If that is the case then Aisake would be OK for another year!!

I'm sure it's 3 years max for an International Rookie. It makes good sense too!

Aisake is a project player who is coming along nicely for a bloke who had never played the game before. At 200 cm, athletic and very young, I doubt that he wouldn't be given the same chance as Setanta.

He will surprise many.

We will be a good team when.... or at least head in the right direction when we dump Houlihan. His silky skills and effortless running sees the ball turned over and lost more times than not. Never gets a hard ball, never tackles and misses the target.
Dump him

Welcome to TC, you just started on the wrong foot. :?

It's been said many times Aisake has another year on the international rookie list if we want to keep him there.

Here's hoping Batson can get into the bests a few times and nudge Prenda back to 3rd ruck, the spot is there for the taking.

At this stage it looks like Jesse and Flint have done all that is asked for them and would be the prime candidates for elevation at the end of the year but look it over, the 12:10 rule has created selection headaches at VFL level.

We currently have Bower, Edwards, Jackson, Batson, Raso and Aisake running around in the Bullants reserves. Some of them look like they're going to be regularly in the bests, it's a fairly competitive environment to get a gig in the Bullants Firsts and when we play one of the 12:10 teams (of which there are two) it's even harder to get a spot.

Batson has to dominate reserves before he gets the gig when we would have probably seen him getting a run with last year's rules.

Also, there must be a spot for him...if the 1sts continue to play good footy, and players all contribute, don't expect to see others elevated from the Reserves. And I would expect to see Hooper in the 1sts before Daniel, going on form from week 1

And I agree, but if the 12:10 rule wasn't around and the Bullants hadn't topped up their list, Hooper would be playing now and Batson would be close to a shoe in.
