I cannot see one decent reason why there cannot be a game on GF. Would be a cash bonanza for the AFL.

Pre-f*cking-cisely!

I've changed my mind in that they might as well try a night game and see how it goes.

I couldn't give a hoot about the religious aspect to good friday. The Royal Childrens Hospital Appeal has its one day off the year how hard is it to recognise the cause that helps so many get through such serious and dire situations

we have football on thursday, saturday, sunday and monday so why should football dominate a day that has been a custom to victoria for 75 years.

We can go with out footy for one day just shows that so many lifes revolve around footy.

The Uk and Italy along with Sydney and other states in Victoria dont have an appeal on for a childrens hospital on good friday.

Yes but do you think that any game of AFL, if available, wouldn't be shown on free to air TV in Melbourne?

The Christian calendar is well out of whack. It's already 2076, Christmas Day is on the 17th of May, Easter, (the great shifter), is also the 17th of May, we got stiffed an extra holiday for the day Jesus got his carpentry apprenticeship, (8th of October), the apostles were little more than knitters before Christ came along and through miracles invented footy and Good Friday wouldn't be named as such if footy wasn't meant to be played on that day. If that were the case it would be called Shit Friday.

Bounce the ball for Jesus at Easter!

(PS...if you watch a DVD can it be the 1981 grand final or the 1999 prelim?)
