glad Collo is gone and glad he came when he did - anything/anyone to get rid of Elliott.

Think Synbad is right and this provides the club with a chance to get fresh blood and maybe some energy - be leaders again. Think on field we are getting a very good list together, time to match it off field so when success comes - it will - we have the faces to take advanatage and crank the club up into high gear.

Can't wait to be standing on the seats of the MCG screaming as loud as I can 'WE'RE BACK!!!!!!'

The Saints can walk to the MCG if they wish.

Have you considered that TD might actually really want St.Kilda, given we average crowds of 40,000 there now?

Ok and the man that runs the MCG is Goughy... another Carlton man and ex CEO..

Just face it .. youre arses are ours no matter what you do... unless youre thinking Linton street... yep.. youd be safe there....

PS the people that schedule the fixtures are the AFL and they run the dome.. so good luck 'walking'.

Yep youre in Collos hands...

You will always get a shit deal....

Well I think you've convinced me that Corruptus Oval extends to both TD and the MCG. And sounds like you like it don't you?

The whole lot of you are corrupt.

It's not just the club, it's the supporters also.

Hang on, how much to a premiership cost nowadays?

Hmmm.....that's right, you'd can't buy them.

Pity really.

We will get there before you do....

i reckon you have a window of opportunity to win the flag... lets see... two years.

After that youre middle of the road again.. and your members halve and everything is back to its normality...
the best thing is you wont be complaining that the oxygen is too thin anymore...

Be fair, we've got two sticks to rub together to start a fire as well. Unlike the Saints what we don't need is CFA approval to start ours.

It's understandable that st kilda supporters over a certain age have a hang-up about Carlton.

All that pain and suffering, and those years of misery endured. The 70's, the 80's, the 90's. That's pretty much most adult supporter's entire lives.

Pity for them that it's not reciprocated.

It takes GENERATIONS to forge a genuine hatred and rivalry. That's why Carlton people hate Collingwood and Richmond. And only recently have we started to hate Essendon*.

St Kilda aren't even close as rivals.

Sure, the AFL's policy dictate that they'll spend their time at the top, just like all teams will. And during their time at the top they'll beat us more times than we beat them (until it's our time at the top)

But that doesn't make them genuine rivals.

Oh, they're fun to have around with their Molly Meldrum and their sole premiership won by a bloke in a Collingwood jumper and their tortured supporter base. Grant Thomas, he's fun too with his 'training services personnel' when he means fitness staff and 'paradigm shifts' when he means doing things differently.

And they're not bad people. In fact, the average saints supporter is usually a pretty decent sort of person.

But it's just that they haven't earnt a rivalry yet. Probably with anyone.

Maybe by 2026...

Agreed John, a good friend of mine at work goes for StKilda. Some of the older Carlton supporters talk about the good old days playing in all those GFs and winning flags, all the lgends etc.
His idea of the good old days was getting on the piss with the players back at Moorabin after the game which they more than likely lost.

Thats nice flower because we're glad that Butterss is still President and Thomas is still coach of your organisation, success is all but guaranteed as soon as Training Services can get On-Field Services firing on all cylinders.

Hmm I've been thinking about changing my username, Perovic might do nicely, played in 2 more premierships than Sam Gwilt will ever play in.

Oh sorry where are my manners - welcome to Talking Carlton you miserable piece of crap.

Anyhow Gwilty, apart from all that petty nitpicking, why did the Saints give Kenny Sheldon the lemonade and sarse ? He actually was making REAL progress when he was there.I have a few Saints mates, and they are still spewing over Kenny getting the flick.

Because by actually achieving success he was refusing to follow the preferred St Kilda business plan.
