No Disrespect to Pagan, great coach with great players. But if he dont have the players he dont know how to use them to the best of their ability.

I just cant stand having 18 of carltons players over in the oppositions half. And when the blues get a break from the back line and quickly run it in to the forward line theres no one to kick to. They have to hold up play and then wait for both teams to get back. Its absolutely crap.

Hes always playing Fev outside 40-50mtrs out from goal. Every time he runs out from the goal square with a good lead he gets the mark and kicks a goal.
Dont know why you cant play Fev and Ed from the goal square and Waite n fisher at the half forward line n have a couple flooding. Makes more sense.

At the moment, i just think pagan is playing like a coach not taking any risks so he doesnt have blowout games. Carlton has good players but the game plan doesnt suit this team

Couple more crap games like the hawthorn one and what you think? time to hit the road jack :) New president , new coach haha

Goltzenberg, I think Pagan is doing well overall. The only thing I am against is starting our games ultra defensive rather than being offensive.

I commend Pagan on his change of game style and as I have stated elsewhere, Pagan's is also on a learning curve. He is not the best game day tactician, and will make mistakes, but he will be wiser and better for it.

I strongly believe he is the best man for the job at the current moment. In another couple of years when his contract is up, the board will re-evaulate to see if there are any better options. I would love to see Rocket as our coach at the end of Pagan's tenure as I believe he is the best tactician going around. At the moment, Pagan and Barry Mitchell are the best men to educate and discipline the young kids. I have to admit, I also like the appointments of TD and Dempsey this year also. I believe their input has been big.

Pagan is shit and he needs to go and needs to go now....If we cop a flogging from Richmond next week which we will....The knives should come out...If he is saving us from getting a flogging then that means we are gonna keep playing this shit style of game..Which means we are not gonna win another game for the season.. That will do wonders for our memberships as it is at the moment this style of play he has us playing is definitely not a great spectacle.

yeah i know there was no fev playing against the hawks

he does it every week for the past couple years
Then when it doesnt work in the first half fev plays more around the goal square

surely its not to hard to have fev running in to a isolated area where he is one on one leadout

Hawks can do it with a midget called Williams and we cant do it with Fev, dont make sense. Fev would kick 100 goals a season in a good team with a good coaching strategy setup

at the moment u see fev running into packs of two trying to take a mark and its crap

We won't lose to Richmond next week.

With Fevola to come back in, we will beat them.
Bannister will probably replace Teague and give us a bit of run off of the half back line.

bit of run to kick it where? haha

fev was lucky to kick 3 goals with our game strategy setup against sydney. he only gets a couple opportunities to kick goals that make life tough on the big 25

yep so maybe we should trade all the kids and then get some older guys and win 10 games, we'll be right then.

At the moment you'd have to pay him out over 2 mil, that's a fair few memberships. Won't happen.

This ultra flooding by the Blues before the game has even started seems very weird. Could it be Pagan showing what he feels about the new game plan?
Why did he wait till the end of the quarter to move Whitnall off Croad when it was so obvious the match up wasn't working? I can't believe he could of been that blind to the fact.
Does he really think we can play with 17 players in the defensive half and one in the forward half? I wonder what the other coaching staff are thinking while this is going on?
IMO if we play a few more games in this fashion Pagan will be asked to step aside. We may as well concide the game if we play this way. We may not get beaten by 10 goals but it would take a super effort to post a winning score this way.
It seems we are going to the extremes on the ways we play. For the first few seasons, with Pagan coaching, we just used the long kick and bombed it long, no matter what situation. Now we just put ALL our players back so there is no one to kick to.
If we keep playing this way something has got to give and it looks like it will be Pagan as he must be the one responsible for this crazy game plan.

Imagine Setanta who only touched an AFL footy for the first time 30 months ago, anybody with half a brain could see that we were not going to win the game during the third quater, why wouldn't Pagan play Setanta back where he could run straight and get more involved in the game rather than getting lost playing this flooding game.

Setanta will never develop as a forward whilst our game plan remains. I hope Pagan doesn't turn to Walker to keep putting out bush fires because Walker himself should be let loose to break the lines and give us more run in the midfield.

Nothing like a bit of optimism.

Amazing how a few losses brings everyone out of the woodwork. :garthp:
