Yeah, I'd heard that story from a friend of his. I thought there was an injury to another player that came up though?

Penny should be on the list but for some reason isn't in the Blueseum yet, along with Haami Williams. Shall try to add them when I get the chance,

M

Edit - found David walls, now added to 'Squad Guernsey 42'

If you talk about A Matthews #38 then please go by the name he was given by both the age and the sun for what seemed to be a season.

"A.Matthews - 2 WEEKS"

This aka name was altered in Round 21 to be A Matthews - SEASON.

A Hartlett is going the same way.

He was drafted with Pick 33... maybe that was the mistake?

Dont worry Danielle I made it too.

Just replace the word "SEASON" with the word "NOSE."

Yes folks this is related to the Blueseum - well, it will end up in there at some time - but i wanted to pick everyone's brains on the jumper numbers of those that we drafted that never played.

From memory I've got Adrian Burdon - 26, David Nicholson - 37, Chris Jackson - 38, and Croad - #23..but... what number did:

*Grant Povey

Apologies for bringing up these guys - hope no one brought up their lunch in response,

M

Pretty sure Grant Povey wore the cursed Number 10 - but could be wrong. This list brings back too many memories of our recruiting efforts in the past 15 years - abysmal to say the least. Is this a worse strike rate than other clubs. :?

yeh Grant Povey from WA did have 10 in 1989 after Brad Shine having it 1985-1988, untill Michael James had it 1991.

You had a Doug Smart. From memory there was a Sam Smart, a ruckman who I cannot recall ever playing a game.

Thanks all - keep them coming.

Sorry to do this - but can anyone remember how many years that shocker McGuane was on our list for - I've got 3 games in 1997 - was it only the year before he retired?

Wasn't on the list in 98. From memory he was retained on the list end of 97 & did most of the pre-season but couldn't get his body right & called it quits just before the season started.

thanks all - its coming along nicely.

Sheehan - 42, Thorpe 30, Black 37, Kelly 42, Dukes 35, Mathews - 2 weeks / 38, Marshall 37, Walls 42.. all confirmed

Also found the names of Passador and Davis to add...

Have put this into the Blueseum with a view to updating the 'Squad Locker Room' as my next project - inclusive of those who never played a game:

http://www.blueseum.org/tiki-list_file_ ... alleryId=2

Over time I hope to add another one say from 1980-1993 to complement this one so please have a think about those names that I've missed.

The selection of Mark Cullen essentially cost us picking up Michael O'Loughlin. A few picks later after we picked Cullen, the Swans pounced on O'Loughlin IIRC.

Pity about Cullen, though. Is captain of Vermont in the EFL and is easily one of the best midfielders going around. Hard unit, who runs hard and kicks goals.

I think after we delisted him, Richmond picked him up. He didn't get a game there either.

Who are those guys and when were they at Carlton?

My initial list was taken from the Draft listing at the Blueseum, then I backtracked through to find if theyd played games. Smith J and Bell do nt seem on that list - happy to add numbers from past no-gamers but you'll have to help me out with years that they played as well....

Thanks anyway!

M

mols.....I'm sure I submitted the entire 1987 Reserves GF Side to Blueseum a few months ago.

In it are E.G. Fraser Brown #53.

Luke O'Sullivan #54.

Darren Bell #56.

Phillip Poursanidis # 57.

P.S.....I think my Paul Smith should be Jeremy Smith #41.

I can also give you the 1972 Reserve GF side from the Record if you'd like it.

There's some big names with different numbers in that side.

I can also give you the GF '79 U19 Side.
