2 weeks we have lost to crap teams. We are clearly the worst side in the comp.
Where do I lay the blame?
Easy it lays fairly and squarely with Denis Pagan - does he ever want us to win or does he just want to prevent blow outs? Lack of imagination and lack of faith in players. I am sick of his negative attitude which surely must rub off on the players. He has lost the the players support and they are not playing for him.

Get rid of him at years end, we are going nowhere fast! We were doing better under Brittain. Bring in Ratts - Respected by all and from all reports a brilliant coach

While were at it lets get rid of the selection comittee b/c they dont want to make the hard decisions just stay with safe options and hope we dont lose by too much.

I am sick ofthis crap!!!
Swing the axe and make the tough calls or prepare for another 5 years of shit.

Yep bring in:

Kennedy, Blackwell, and hopefully in the next few weeks Hartlett.

Things must change, Richmond, Hawthorn and Sydney were games we should have been closer - terrible

ps - i am a reasonable person - but this is getting beyond a joke.

Pagan has lost the plot. I mean we have nothing to lose, so Pagan should show how CREATIVE he really is. But I don't think he is.

It would be an honorable loss against a team like West Coast or Adeliade or St.Kilda or Geelong. I hate media bullshit.

This club is going backwards and it breaks my heart!!
DP may be a great coach but he is not right for us at the moment.
I will never stop supporting the club but if we dont start playing with spirit and playing attacking football my dedication may start to wane.

The club has the stench of death and decay and until we face facts that we made an error we will not start the rebuilding process.

First task for Smorgon - Get the seniors palyers in and ask them their view of DP, I am sure Sticks and Terry Daniher will agree.

DP, Elshaugh, Libba must go. 3 years (into the 4th) enough is enough.

Here is a novel idea: Lets try all out attack for once and see what happens it cant be worse than this shit

Absolute rubbish.

We have young skillfull players finally beginning to filter through the side.

Simpson, Fisher, Walker, Murphy, Bentick, Waite etc. are improving week by week with others still yet to debut (watch out for Kennedy!!).

The future is bloody exciting.

If Smorgon gets involved in the Football dept, then he's taken his eye off the ball straight away, and heading down the road to Jack-ville.

Libba's got to go, no doubt.

What's really depressing to me is that the areas where I saw room for improvement in our side in the preseason have shown plenty of signs of improvement. Yet we're still losing. Walkers' playing well. Houlihan has stepped up to become one of our top mids. Fevola and Whitnall are both in form. Murphy's playing above and beyond expectations of a first year player. Young players like Bentick, Carrazzo and Betts (along with Murphy and Houla) are getting time on the ball and doing well. And yet we're still losing.

And next year there will be another 4-5 young players added to the list and the year after that and the year after that and even the year after that. The way this system works is you are supposed to have 20 players under the age of 22 on your list

We can use this we are rebuilding line for ever and ever if we wish and Denis Pagan will never have to be accountable for anything

Look we were killed at the clearances.

So we need a midfield. We know that. It is not there yet.

Danny we won the clearances in the last three games we played - still lost them though .

Still say we are badly coached - The move of whitnal down back after such a promising start was a bad one and in the end cost us the game

Now now SB, now I know you are fairly intelligent.

Look at me, Look at me.

Try to understand this theory.

If you keep replacing low draft pick players with high draft pick players the list will gradually get better over time. Comprehende!

All 16 clubs do this on a rotational basis, all at slightly different stages. We only realised as a club that we have to join in this dancecard 2 years ago.

Our turn will be in 2 to 3 years, we have to make the most of it when it comes around.

No Lance was moved because T-Bird was gone and because they were getting it down there far too much. We needed to attack from the backline because we could not attack from ball ups. lance helped keep us in the game.

Its sp simple to think Denis moved and then we lost truth is he saw the writing on the wall and attempted to change it. This is where seeing it live is so important. Everyone at the game saw what was happening. Saw that if they ever kicked straight we were [REDACTED]. they didnlt and we stayed in the game, but make no mistake they beat us at clearances almost as bad as they did last year.

Yes but you said that 2-3 years ago - and I will bet if we continue down this track you will be saying it in another 2-3 years

We are badly coached - the last three weeks we have been beaten by sides playing shit football and tonight beaten by a shit side playing shit football - all caused by one stupid move by the coach .
whitnal was at 50/50 with Bowden - thorton was sought of holding his own with Richo and Fevola looked like he would cut lose . He made the move took thorton off - whitnal on to richo and bowden then moved in on Fev . Done nothing at all to stop richo - lost the affect of Whitnal up forward and basically took Fevola out of the game.

He is no good I 've been saying it for a while now .

I looked at the list when studying the stats. It's not that bad and it's is more than workable, and on the improve. We keep screwing up because of the flower in the coaching box. As for draft picks, well I'm much happier with Simmo and Fisher at 45 & 72 than I ever would be with Goddard, a no.1. We've still picked up Walker as a PP, the bonus of Stevens in the Pre-seasn draft the same year, done well out of the rookie list and picked up Betts as well. Not to mention the Father/sons. Time for excuses are gone. Pagan's got something to work with, time to put up or shut-up. Time for him to go, he's way past it!

every team has some good young players but we need to give them a chance to develop not just keep using the excus ethat we have a young list blah blah blah.
If I was shit at my work for 3 years I would get the sack simple as that.
If our skills arent up to it whose fault is that..... The coaches skills are their department.

Our lack of skill is even more reason not to paly this negative possession based football.

How about 3 tall forwards :whitnall, fev, waite - and get the ball in quickly

Fev kicked 2.4, kicked straight he should have had 5 - so @#$%&! that argument off.

Richo was killing us, but more importantly, we needed to be able to attack from defence because we were getting killed around the ground. Johnno had got on top of Stevens and we had little drive.

It's the old strawberry jam and pig shit argument. (If you can bring up some of my 4 year old footy post I will be impressed)

You can virtually write-off every player 25+ from this team, no use even talking about them anymore.

We have a fantastic group of young players at the moment (they cannot be expected to get us into finals football yet).

Our only enemy is time and patience at the moment.

as for skills - Richmond's were as bad, last week hawthorn's were as bad. Skills are only the fruit of the top 5 or 6 teams. the rest play crap football with crap skills.

Its called drafting kids.

I am sorely tempted to just watch the bullants for the next three years because Afl FOOTBALL IS SHIT.
