Do i dare???

As i posted in another thread:

Walker - His best game yet...He can hold his head high
Fevola - While he wasnt as accurate as usual he chased and pressured and never gave up...Thats 4 form 4 Fev...Keep up the good work!
Murphy - What a little beauty we have here...Smarts, poise and great disposal...Wonderful goal on the run...Will be a champion for many years to come...

Well thats it...Lance was OK...Kouta was OK...Lappin was OK

Look, im as disappointed as any of you but as they say in the Life of Brian..."Always look on the bright side of life"...*followed by whistling*.. :-D

Walker - @#$%&! I take my hat off to him. Great game and if they vote properly at that stupid club, he'll be in the top 3 so far.

Murph. A footballer. No I do not want to tank but I am fine if we are so shit we end up last again.

Walker and Murphy yet again were the highlights.

We only went down by 8 points despite some terrible field kicking and kicking for goal.....and some apalling umpiring decisions. Again its just 1 quarter of football which really lets us down.

We missed some easy shots as well...but you're right...look at it as a positive in that 8 points didn't hurt our percentage.

Our early picks are going to be the tip of the spear that is going to take us forward.
Walker and Murph are future stars of the comp.
Bentick, simmo , Carrazzo etc did what they could to support... a few more and we will be fine.

But its going to take time and a few tough calls.. starting with the coach .

Exactly, both teams kicked badly, they had 20 more inside 50's. So they probably should have won by 4 goals. Not a mauling.

8+ goal win from 20 more inside 50's.

That is a pretty bloody good conversion rate there.

If they had really kicked straight it would have been a 20 goal win.

They missed far more easier shots than we did, most of theirs well inside 50  :garthp:

The facts are as follows:

Weak as piss.

Skills are dismal....haven't improved in three years.

Richmond have travelled afar two out of the last three rounds plus were coming off of a 6 day turn-around.... :?:

Umpiring was pathetic but really wasn't the problem in the end despite the fact that the arse-holes sent me hoarse.

Apart from a couple of young players with potential there still isn't a hell of a lot to get excited about.

Stevens is one of the most overated players in the league.

Deluca makes me sick.

Modern day football makes me sick.

Umpires make me sicker.

The fact that the AFL have changed their draft rules after Essendon* and Collingwood topped-up makes me deathly sick.

Early call again, as I called it last year and got bent over by all and sundry on this site.......Wooden spoon here we come!

Now I've braced myself, you can all line up now and give it your best shot.

We missed 1 from close in front of goals, they missed 3 from close and in front of goals.

That means they could have won by 4 goals at the most with accurate kicking. :garthp: :garthp:

Stevens is a quality (not A-Grade) midfielder playing amongst a bunch of novices. Until he gets to play alongside some quality he'll continually cop too much attention. Even the top shelf AFL midfielders wouldn't be half the players they were if they played for us. The perfect example is Campo once Ratten, Williams, Brown et al retired.

Maybe while he's coping so much attention he could give some back....instead of being 20m clear everytime Richmond had the ball. instead of just jogging through the middle be could actually run to pick up a man.

We finished within two goals despite being reamed by the officials.

We're not far off putting it all together.
