In Kennedy,O'Hailpin,Blackwell
OUt Deluca,Bannister,Mclaren

We need to look to the future and see if players can cut it in the big league .So play Inexperienced players in front of 70000.Great experience for them.

Bannister would be unlucky to be dropped but we need another inside onballer and Blackwell fits the bill .See if he can play.Team balance

Play O'Hailpin on a wing.Try him in different positions. He played on the wing up at Bendigo. We have to find out whether this guy can play or not.Give him a month in the seniors.

McLaren would also be unlucky to be given the arse.He was good down back against the tigers but we need more mobility around the ground and Carlos is taller.I just dont think we can progress with McLaren in the team.

Kennedy will play this week and lets hope Deluca is dropped.Deluca has potential because of his moblity, but simply doesnt put his body on the line.On Friday night a Carlton player had the ball 80 m out with nobody in our forward 50 after a quick transition from defence.Deluca was the closet player to the player with the ball and ran to position himself to accept a 15 m pass when he could have run int o the vacant 50 and gone for a mark that may of been contested by the half dozen flooding Tigers. That peformance was it for me.Back to the Magoos. Its a pity that Harold Martin doesnt play in the VFL anymore.

I think it's laughable to even suggest playing O'Hailpin ahead of any of those ommissions. It's like playing with 21 instead of 22. Not sure we're strong enough to deliberately carry players just yet.

I don't think there will be any changes to the team this week.

If Blackwell was too come in eventually, it would be at the expense of an mid feld injury.

This is harsh I know but if Russell is an AFL player then I am Pope Benedict the 18th. Russell out for me, that ridiculous turnover he did cost us a goal and our momentum was shot.

McLaren is just a fill in ATM. Yep he played a good defensive game when in the BP, but he is not here as our BP.

We can't have two ruckmen not troubling the statisticians. These guys are 200 and 196, so where's the marking that their bodies are built to take? Probably the same place as their football brain.

Seatnta on the wing is a good one, but I doubt that his defensive game has been developed anywhere near Walker's, so he could be a liability there at this stage.

We need to get Hartlett up and running. But that wont be till the 2nd half of the season.

That is the question, the answer should be this week but it's starting to look like never.....our selectors have as much to answer for as any of the players!

..setanta is a way off still, he only got selected last time due to team injuries, and even then he was very lucky.. ..and as it turned out, a bad mistake by the selecters.. ..get off the setanta wagon, the irish lad is better off peeling spuds until he gets his shizzle right..

..kennedy.. ..by all reports is coming along nicely, perhaps another game or two in the magoo's just to get himself settled in.. ..dylan should stay in, i like the way he uses his body/agro.. ..and if he gets suspended cos he sodded someone i can live with that too.. ..hell, if he sods 'em well and good i'd quite enjoy it.. ..depuca's just no good, i reckon bryan is a far better option.. ..and mcgrath shouldn't be dropped unles injured..

..i thought bannister was ok, he fumbled it all to hell a couple of times, and was good/lucky enough to make amends.. ..but otherwise i think he played from the bench so yer canna expect miracles from a bench player..

..ditto with betts, it seemed that he spent quite a bit of time on the bench too?.. ..could be mistaken, but i remember seeing him on the bench a few times meself..

I like the inclusion of Bryan, he is a thumping and accurate kick a big body and can take a grab.

In a game of 120 turnovers each team its clear that that was the determining turnover.

Notwithstanding his age and lack of experience; I'm a a bit worried that Russell doesn't seem to have any inbuilt footy smarts for a Pick 9 Draftee.

Hindsight yes; but Monfries at pick 14 in the same draft (also from Adelaide) seems to be a very special talent.

I'll get rubbished for not supporting the kid; but it's just an observation.

I agree Warby....seeing Monfries on a number of occassions and emailing the Carlton football Club telling them that Monfries seems a special talent. Then we go and get Russell.....I just don't get it....Russell we got at pick No9 and Monfries went at 14...

McGrath to play on Buckley like he did in the 2nd game against the pies last year. Kennedy to debut in front of 70,000 people and to keep DeLuca out of the team. I'm sorry, but I have lost my patience with DeLuca.
