Sydney Blue,

I only " stalk " people who post crap. Don't wait for the coach to be sacked to come and stalk me. Feel free and stalk me at any stage you like. If I post something you don't agree with, come and stalk me at your pleasure :)

Sydney quite rightly you said we'd never know, you;re right. we don;t, so why pretend you do.

You can only take a look at tex and ask 'How is he going?'

and he is going very, very well.

i just love watching him play. tex is a gun, i love seeing him grab the ball take a half second to asses the situation and then tuck the ball under his arm and hit the afterburners and take off down the field.

i love the way he creates play and is willing to back himself, yet still be accountable.

quite a longbow you're drawing there, Sydney Blue. Are you implying that if Walker was playing at this rate last season, that THIS season he'd be..... what..... our top midfielder? Playing the same role to the same effect? Is it not possible that learning to be accountable is helpful for a defensive role?

BTW, I'm not having a go... I'm not saying Pagan was definitely right to play him as a tagger, but your logic seems on the face of it to be a bit spurious.

I do agree that jbee is just a spammer who is about as insightful a contributor as a plank of wood

This is coming from a bloke who riduculed Collingwood for picking Dale Thomas before he had played a game. "It mean't we got Josh Kennedy".
Brilliant, just brilliant.

whats not brilliant is your memory... find the posts where I ridiculed him and we'll see. The only "go" I had at Collingwood was for bucking popular opinion, and it wasn't a "go" as such, but an expression of shock.

I reckon the average IQ of this place has dropped so much since I've been away. Not only can't these guys structure a criticism but they misread everything and have no memory. This site is awash with imbeciles and it makes reading 90% of posts insulting

Denis has done a brilliant job with AW. Sure he's played him in a negative role, but realistically in any other team Walker would only have played 12 games to date. Instead he'll play his 50th this year which will set him up for the future.

Next year he'll be 92+kg, faster and will understand the defensive side of the game as well as playing his own style. At the age of 20 coaches will be trying to negate him rather than the other way around.

Just goes to show the draft has fewer secrets than it once did. If JK can come in and play good footy we'll have 3 pretty good young footballers developing together. IMO Russell should stay in this team and get the same opportunity Walker got.

I'm not implying that the IQ dropped BECAUSE I wasn't around... but fair dinkum, I'm sick of having people snipe without content, basis or intellect.

At least when I object to Sydney and jimmae (in another forum) I give reasons and solutions.

I wonder if its desperate times making people intolerable to read

It's because the majority of internet forum posters post things they would never dream of saying to someone's face (especially someone they hadn't met before). It is the nature of the beast unfortunately.

If you don't like it find another site that satifies your IQ level requirements. And by the way are you still in shock that they picked Thomas?
Perhaps for some unknown reason the Collingwood recruiting staff might have the IQ that you so much desire.

I might have to woof if you're a good example of what TC is these days.

Collingwood have done well with Thomas. I didn't know anything about Thomas before the draft (other than what I read) and not so much about Kennedy either... but I was very interested in the outcome of our pick 4 and assumed it would not be Kennedy or Ellis.... all the "form" on the boards and in the press was that those 2 would be picks 2 and 3, so I was surprised or "shocked" (as in surprised, not dismayed) that Collingwood had bucked the hype and chose Thomas. I'm sure the Collingwood recruiting staff knew more than me, as I knew nothing about him. I dare say they made a really good choice, and good on them. In moments of surprise, people tend to exclaim things.

Listen carefully, woof... because if you actually READ posts you could learn about other people's opinions. I never said Thomas wasn't a good player. In a moment of surprise and shock, I will have exclaimed something about them bucking popular opinion..... which is obviously a good strategy if you think popular opinion is wrong (ie, Collingwood thinking Thomas was worth pick 2 and being proven, at a very early stage, justifed).

So, for you woof, and everyone else on your approximate level of intelligence, THAT is the explanation. On an ideal site, where people of intelligence who can read and interpret plain english and human behaviour correctly, my readers will have known this.

My advice is if you cannot comprehend something someone has posted, either ask a question or gauge their meaning, or just don't get involved in the more taxing conversations..... because engaging people like you is very tiresome and makes the site not worth sticking with.

aboslutley spot on! especially your last point about russell, i'd like to see us carry him as much as he can. he's shown a few glimpses already i reckon.

i'd rather russell in the side to about 15 other players.

So when I get to 7,517 posts I get to be inteligent?

And can you tell me why you would make comparisons to the treatment of Thomas and Walker and not Thomas and Murphy?
Were did Andrew Walker play his first year of football?
And by saying that Mick Malthouse has done a great job with Thomas I would like your opinion on his handling of Fraser?

Just simple questions for intelligent people. Have a go and try and answer them.

Our biggest deficiency is down back - if Walks can help us rectify that long-term then he will be very good for us.

The Pagan is stifling argument is getting old ... he's improving, not the finished article yet but getting heaps more of the ball than when he was given the 'free' role. Win-win in my book.

Yeah, I don't think Fev and Houlas will agree that Pagan is stalling their careers ... given they were on their way out thanks to mr skills brittain. Its a pity Pagan didn't arrive in time to salvage the career of the extremely talented Brett Backwell.

If Pagan had not released Murphy to play the way he is at the moment the fans would have lynched him - He has had his hand forced on this one

Would you regard Josh Fraser as one on the elite players in the AFL- - I wouldn't Josh is average at best has never lived up to his potential in my eyes.
Maybe it was the way Malthouse handled him when he first came on board???

The words intellect and woof dont go together. Tyrant at =least contribute to the discussion you my friend are just a sniper
