If we change coaches mid-season, more than likely there will be a 'honeymoon period' where we gain extra wins than we may otherwise have had. Is this long term better or worse for the club?

Is the loss of position in the superdraft worth the inclusion of a new coach in your eyes?

Who would you pick as a new mid-season coach?

I don't think a change of coach will happen this season but am interested to see what people think about the possibilities.

I think Mitchell would be guaranteed to get the gig if we sacked Pagan.

Kinda obvious right now which one I voted for, but I'd prefer that to be 4 wins Jars.. PP. :P

Pagan with 5 wins for me. For lots of reasons, but mainly to get games into the kids, the quicker we do it, the quicker they either stand up or get weeded out if they're not up to it. But also for getting a decent early draft pick and it's the best option financially for the club.

I'm not advocating tanking though, would prefer more wins with the kids ;)

I can't see Pagan being sacked this year by the way, I reckon he's here until at least until the end of this year, and almost certainly into next.

Five wins doesn't get us a PP.

4 wins = 16 points = pick between the first and second round as the rules stand.

The AFL should have just changed the pick received and the idea of a two-year stint down the bottom for the old pick. Not how many wins :?

They did it so that no club was eligible for a PP before round 1 this year.

The effect of this is to screw us, the club that needs it the most and has been down the bottom for longest. They should have changed the wording to less than 20 points, which would have achieved their goals (ie make it harder to qualify) and helped the club that needs the most help.

Imagine membership next year if the club had the chance to promote Walker, Murphy, Kennedy and the #1, and #2 pick from this years draft. Sadly it's not an option anymore.

Fev I might not do a better job but results wise I wouldn't do worse!

I would take out the wins component.

I would like to see as amany young players as possible get a go while maintaining a competitive team. The number of wins is irrelevant.
I am not convinced that we will be better off with a different coach

How do you reckon Ty Zantuck, Byron Pickett and Mark Johnson would go as a coaching combination?

Results sometimes does not go hand in hand with development.

im with you mate

couldnt give a toss if we win 2 games or 20, if the kids are playing and i can see them develop into solid footballers that in a few years time will win us a flag, i couldnt give a stuff if we lost the rest of the season.

you give me a team of kids and players having a crack every single game and the games won for me is irrelevant.

seeing players like Murphy, Walker, Waite, Simspon, Bentick, Carrots etc.. all starting to develop into really good and solid players for the club then im one happy camper.

Its all i ask and im sure all most of us ask from our team. Have a crack, give the kids a chance and let it evolve. win or lose i will be happy.
