On TFS tonight one of the many things which came out of Fev's big mouth, was that our kid JK would be a SUPERSTAR!...

1) Don't put too much pressure on the kid or anything!...

2) Why is Fev on TFS!?!?!...

Putting that aside though, I am rapt that Josh is making his debut with Carlton and look forward to watching him play in hopefully many great games for the Blues.

Best of luck buddy!

Well, we haven't had much to cheer about lately so I don't have a problem in our future kids being talked up. All supporters look for hope and something to look forward to.
Let's not expect JK to set the world alight in his first year. He is only 18. Let's see him develop along nicely and fit in with his teamates.
We are now where Collingwood was in 1999-2001. They are now where we where then. Times change and they will once again. Be patient everyone.

Did say that he expected Kennedy to play at the expense of one of the forwards. Hoped it wasn't him!

Against Willie 2 weeks ago kennedy was spent with 10 minutes to go.An interupted pre season has meant he lacks some fitness so dont expect too much from him on Sunday.good to see a fresh face in the seniors but I would of liked him to play another couple of games in the magoos before making his debut.

Fisher named in the Bullants (admittedly so are quite a few other players selected to play against Collingwood).

Fisher and Waite don't seem to be 100% fit yet

Yes, I thought Fisher looked a littel underdone last Friday. Would not be surprised if Josh comes in for Fish instead of Deluca. Looking forward to the reaction on TC if that happens...... :-D

Fev does a good jump pumping up the club.
He has the profile to say what he says and he doesnt have the credibility to make it too serious.
I reckon Fev does what he does well.

One thing i do love about him is he is passionate.!!

Reckon Fish will be dropped for Kennedy.

I've heard the weather is going to be fairly poor, so it won't be a day for the big blokes.

Good chance for Eddie, Murphy, Caraz, Simmo, Bentick etc etc to play well. Given Bentick's body size, pace and role in the side, I reckon he'll do really well for us.

Fev is not my favourite player but I thought he was quite good last night

He starting to seem more relaxed and at home where previously he often looked quite nervous

Never misses a chance to mention the sponsors

He sounded like he thought Lance should be forward

If Fish gets dropped, I'll be ropeable, but I'll be the first to admit that he wasn't fantastic last week.

We know what Bentick did the last time these sides met

Likewise, Clem, but if he isn't right he shouldn't be played.
He's a liability if he's out there and not right.

Whilst Fish hasnt dominated i reckon hes been playing pretty well.
He is a smart footballer who doesnt bury himself in a hole during the game like alot of the others.

No way should Fish be dropped.

Yeah, but I didn't like the way he said:
"Yeah, hopefully we win this week, because it looks like we're not gonna win many"

I guess it's the truth, but he doesnt have to go all TC on us on Television..

Geee the truth is hard to listen to isnt it?
Thats probably why people lie.

I'm just saying, it can't be good for the club to have Fev come on and pretty much say he'd do things differently if he was coach (worked for Aker I guess) RE: Lance, and then go on to say he expects to lose most of the games this year..

Either
a) everyone at the club knows we're [REDACTED] and he was just saying it on tv
or
b) it's just what he thinks - it wouldnt be the best thing for the younger teammates to be hearing that from Fev

I'm a big fan of Fev's, definately, i'm just saying I didnt really like to hear him say that

Agree with you bennytown

I have grown to like his role more & more, but wasn't a huge fan of that comment

fev, interesting isnt he

i never used to like him on that show as they made him look stupid, thus the footy club stupid

but i reckon he has grown into the role and done it well.

several times ive seen him stick up for the club and its players when someone has had a cheap shot i.e. newman last night when he said carlton woudlnt score.

nah, i like him on TFS

as for his comments - i think they are great - how can that not give the kids confidence knowing that one of the best forwards in the league (and fev is) is saying you are going to be a good thing.

what we, as supporters have to remember, is that he is a kid. If he plays a good game, kicks 5 goals and takes 15 makrs, great, but conversly, if has a shit game and kicks nothing and takes 3 marks, no problem for me, he will be better for the run.

sometimes the critisicm aimed out our kids is so far off the marks its stupid.

kids need to develop and grow, case in point walker, simpson, bentick etc.. have been strongly criticised in the past, yet are starting to develop into the players we always hope they would be.

nope - i wont judge any of the kids until the reach the 22 mark and have 50 - 80 games under their belt - that is when we will know if we have some talent or not.

not before.

deluca - shame for him, but we have seen the best he can give, and sorry for him, its not good enough.

kennedy in for deluca - fish, while not being superb the last few weeks, serves better purpose in the firsts than deluca.
