deluca - shame for him, but we have seen the best he can give, and sorry for him, its not good enough.

kennedy in for deluca - fish, while not being superb the last few weeks, serves better purpose in the firsts than deluca.

Agreed - I think Fish and Waite can play the lead up target across the wing and half forward better than Deluca anyway but also provide a more dangerous contested mark option closer to goal. I doubt whether either of them will have as poor games as they did last week. The number of marks they dropped was f#$king unbelievable!

On TFS tonight one of the many things which came out of Fev's big mouth, was that our kid JK would be a SUPERSTAR!...

1) Don't put too much pressure on the kid or anything!...

2) Why is Fev on TFS!?!?!...

Hey BJ,
1) What do you want Fev to say? It's great marketIng for the club

2)Coz Fev can and he adds character to the show.
Putting Fev aside Josh Kennedy is physically ready for AFL!
Hopefully he turns out to be a better pick than Thomas.

A Question for all:-
Who said last years draft was weak?

Fisher named in the Bullants (admittedly so are quite a few other players selected to play against Collingwood).

So is De Luca!

So is Kennedy.

All the players named on the interchange are named but they can't all play.

My thoughts exactly. We've already seen some very talented young footballers. I think the thing about class o 2005 was that it wasn't very deep.

The good news is, I beleive we picked up 2 very good, but different players. Almost every other team got 1 good player at best. 2005 better than 2003 and 2002.

2006 will produce 10-15 great players and with no chance of a priority, there'll be no real advantage - it'll be a matter of recruiting what you need most.

Err, yeah. Simply noting that while DeLuca is the obvious choice as 'that' forward, Fisher may also be a possible, if not unlikely omission.

I hear that some members of the support coaching staff are just amazed at the potential Kennedy offers. To us he's our second pick but you have to remember he's Pick 4 overall, and the best key forward from the draft. Even better at his height he presents a clear difference to the other forwards we have.

Unlike the mythical 'mismatch theory' benefit of DELuca, Kennedy willa ctually deliver it just by turning up.

As Pagan said the other week, De Luca is just a HFF, so in effect its ADL v Fisher for a spot, not ADL v Kennedy.

I actually think Fevs took a step or two forward on thursday night in relation to his media persona. Although he did make a couple of blunders, he held his own for most of the night.

Ps: Fevs to kick a bag against the pies!

ACHILLES, I would rather NOTHING came out of Fev's mouth...If he is Carlton's answer for marketing the club then Carlton are screwed big time in that we clearly have no leaders/media spokeman...

Look at the Demons last night V Geelong...Nearly all of their players stould up last night and could be seen as true leaders...Neale Daniher should feel proud this morning...

Carlton, it appears, have no true leaders who will constantly back their club, coach, president and play for the jumper...Ten years ago this was not the case...And look at the results we had...

Green, Robertson, Yze, White, Davey, Maloney, Pickett, Bate...Almost bloody everyone in that team last night played like they loved being out there and playing for their club...

I tell you...I was supporting them to win last night so hard and come the final siren, I was shaking my head thinking if only my team Carlton could show this kind of endeavour...

Fisher has the best mark on our team, and we need his hands for the wet.

Please get of Fevolas back. He is getting paid a lot of money from the club as part of the"marketing" budget. He is advetising the team, sponsors and players which is what we need, a little exposure.

Id rather Fev say "Kennedy will be superstar", and "murph is the next Cousins jump on board Carlton supporters" than nothing at all!
