I managed to light the pilot light on our 30 year old central heating system without blowing myself up at half-time.

Whitnall was clearly our best player yet again.

Whitnall was great.
Thornton took the honours over Tarrant.
Deluca didn't play!

Walker played initially on Buckley and ended up on Thomas. He probably had one or two more as Buckley was on and off the ground. He went for another speccie, but didn't come down with the ball. He had some nice runs through the midfield, but his disposal under little pressure let him down a few times (he wasn't alone in that though).

Murph had a quiet day. He did a couple of nice things, but if you would compare him to Thomas (which is unfair as they were not on each other) then Thomas was clearly the better player.

Kennedy spent most of the day on the pine. His first couple of kicks were to the opposition. I'd like to see him stay in the team. He took a couple of marks and will be better seeing the main game up close.

A real positive for mine is that body strength, poise and foot skills were the biggest difference on the day overall.

Those are things that can be improved by players prepared to work on their game.

I also watched Fisher quite closely today. He does a lot of hard running to all parts of the ground. He is mostly not rewarded for his effort but it doesn't stop him presenting. Well done Fish, if only others had your attitude.

Sorry if I come off negative, I'm a little depressed and impatient. Can I be forgiven?
