defensive, certainly not the case. just merely pointing out that the style of posting was bizarre. but with the shoe on the other foot, just cos hes a regular is it right for him to totally dismiss me? curious to see ur point of view.

u should also check out the superman trailer, it really does look the balls. considering movies could provide a welcome distraction this winter i think it viable to consider a saturday night possibly being entertaining.

Sean, your thesis makes not a whole lotta sense.

Should we get Anthony Franchina back? He was mad Navy Blue, loyal as the day is long. Would he make a good senior coach? Who knows.

IF we're considering changing coaches, and while the pain we're going through sucks dogs balls, to do so now won't help our situation all that much. If at all.

But IF we do, the we want the very best brought in, not the best Carlton person. If the very best available is a Carlton person, well, that's just icing on the cake.

The very best, for the very best club. Nothing less.

the "inbreeding" culture will only damage us and make us a laughing stock, and very probably ensure the death of Carlton as we know it.

sean you're a brave boy.

I thought that you would get a lot of crap hung on you for not posting under the "give Pagan the axe thread" you know the one I think it is about 150 pages now or something. Then you dis Tommi, who has been posting like that here and on another forum for eons and while I am not a huge fan of the style (sorry Tommi) he is usually very to the point which is a rare thing you'll discover.

And to your post, I am not sure Sticks is the answer. Obviously he was a great Captain so you think he would command the respect of the players, but I am not too sure if he has the tactical side to his game.

I would still love us to poach Worsfold, but I'm dreaming.

Hey sean. Good to see you've made it on.

Now on Kernahan being coach..... I'd rather have a 9 iron taken to my privates than have Kernahan as coach. Sorry.

Guys you are all gonna hate me for saying this but I would much rather Malcolm Blight than sticks......Blight will straighten the guys out and he hates the flood game and will teach them how the game is and should be played. Blight for me......Proven coach with great record and his record speaks for itself.....Turned crows into back to back premiers and took no shit from anyone, did it his way. This is why he left the job at St Kilda because he was not allowed to do it his way.

i do understand the point of view. but it isnt about inbreeding or anything like that. i just think that if you look at the situation realistically we cant get a voss, worsfold etc. sticks, despite his perceived shortcomings (none of which have been elaborated on, just considered as maybe being present) would put his all into wanting the club to suceed. heres a question, would sticks have shut up shop last week against richmond? doubt it. besides, as i said before, cost is important, i just believe hes worth a try considering libba isnt the answer, elshaugh isnt the answer and when it comes to mitchell although he is better than the others he is coaching a bullants team that contains many players who are a cut above VFL standard, but just below AFL standard. you watch the bullants and you realise guys like sporn, wiggins, prender (ive talked to him before, he came into work, hates pagan), longmuier (sp?) are too good for the VFL, but not good enough for the AFL.

It's no doubt the guys that are making great coaches are the ones that were mongrels on the footy field...eg:::: Sheedy, Matthews, Worsfold and Malthouse....We need someone that has a lot of mongrel in him....Not sure who that would be but I always said that diesel would make a great coach one day.

well the idea is simple. in this case kernahan is a great of the club. hes been out of the game for a while now but he still has been in the system at the elite level. he has respect from the players, fans, opposition clubs for what he has achieved. he understands what it is to be carlton. i also believe that with him being a forward he wouldnt be opposed to us kicking more than 4 or 5 goals a half. atleast wed be attacking, and when we have been willing to throw caution to the wind we have played alright. if were gonna lose by 7 or 8 goals wouldnt u rather us atleast kick more than 10 ourselves?

dreaming...

Nightmare more like.
