This crap about signing a petition to get rid of Dennis is really getting on my nerves. It is really p*ssing me off.

What is the point, in creating this disharmony before a big game against the Bombers, by asking for a petition to be signed? What is the point, in asking for heads to roll this early in the season? What is the point, in asking for Dennis to be sacked when he has a contract?

The board was elected to do a job. We, as supporters have to do our job. And our job is to support. The club is going through a tough time at the moment. No one likes it. I don't like being on the tail end of the ladder. I, like all supporters, would like to see the Mighty Blues challenging for the premiership.

However, that isn't the case at this point in time. Let's just accept that fact and move on. Let us continue to support the team we all love. Life is not as rosy as we would all like it to be. There will be ups, and there will be downs.

It is ok to discuss the performance of our beloved team. It is ok, to exchange ideas and make constructive criticisms on what we think. But, it is not ok, to start crucifying and demanding action to be taken against the club, when things are not going the way the individuals are hoping for. The scenario we're going through at the moment just feels like we're kicking a good friend while he/she is down. This is the Carlton Football Club we're talking about. The club we all love and have gone through REALLY good times with. We should all stick together. It just feels so wrong...

To all the backseat drivers who are directing traffic and saying this and that should be done, there is a reason why they're just backseat drivers. If you're not good enough to be directly involved, then please, let the people who have been entrusted with the job, do the job.

I anticipate a backlash for this from some people. I am sorry if I have offended you in anyway. But the reason for this post of mine is just to really implore everyone here to stick together.

Sorry about the length of this thread. I would just like to see more positive threads, rather than non-constructive threads about petitions here and there.

Carlton Football Club is really going through a rough patch at the moment. Please, let's stick by them...

No need for another thread on the matter.
We already have 12 pages on it.

excing your heart is in the right place, and so is your brain.

Splinters hurt, and that's what they are. No excuse in not weighing up the pros and cons of such an excercise; starting all this petition bullshit. The board has enough difficulty portraying a positive impression to attract sponsors, so what is the petitioning going to to to help that situation. We need money and members not squabbling. I suppose Cammo can afford to pay out Pagan's contract. If not, he'd better find a way or he'll look like a goose.

What is he thinking? one step back two steps forward? Says who? A 20 something kid with alot of passion, too much time, and no real understanding on the principles of action/reaction. It's all Bullshit I say. I'm a Carltonian, as they are. I'm disappointed in our off field affairs, as they are. I can see progress with our list, and understand that we've just missed out on winning a few games, they don't see that. I see a future for this team, they don't.

Knee jerks. That's what they are. All action and no thought into this process.

We'll get through this if we stick by the club.

Incidentally how old would a 20 yo have been when we won our last flag? 10! And the previous flag? 3! They haven't been around long enough to know that we've had our good days, now we've got to get through the bad ones. That tests our character.

Supporters do have a say and that opportunity comes at the general election. That's the right time and place to do something positive for our future.

This weekend at the MCG we should be focussing all our energy supporting our team with the loudest yells we can muster "Go Blue boys". That sounds better than, "come and get it, all free no charge for a Carlton signature on my petition".

When Pagan won the wizzer cup and Collo re signed him, Pago went out and bought and $800,000 house right away.

He is only in it for the $.

At training during the week Stevens was reading the paper and said to Libba : Hey I got 24 posessions last week - why wasnt I in the best players.

Libba said - because other players got 100 kicks against you.

---Monkey say, monkey do...

Like Pagan didn't have a decent house beforehand. If he chose to by a different one, that's no different from "normal folks".

As for the rest....
