Mate, I think Synbad is grateful for what the board did when they took over. All he wants now is for those people to go quietly into the night and let other people (Clarke, Lee, Hart etc) step in and lead us into the future.

thabks PJ.. this guy believes they have the job for life.. and thats why we need fresh blood!!!!.....

:-D I am all for change as it is evident that this board needs some fresh faces with new ideas however all I ever read from Synbad is negative stuff regardless if it is the board or players we are talking about. If he thinks that there is nothing positive about our great club, then maybe he should put his hand up and be accountable to the members or else shut up if he hasn't got anything positive to say.....We are 2 weeks away from the start of the season and all we seem to be talking about is politics.....The members will determine who gets on and who leaves and the team hopefully will be competative come round 1 and that's what we all should be focusing on.....

I just would like to see some positive posts from Synbad.....

What that tells me, IB, is that you are only on here to pick shit at what Synbad writes.

Yeah he's negative, but the man knows what he wants when it comes to the board and at the moment, in his eyes, they aren't giving him and many others who have voiced their concerns, what they want.

I am positive... i want change!!!!

And i think and hope im talking for the majority of people who are sick and tired of our club being a football minnow...

So again Italian Blue... i repeat !!!"I am positive i want change!!!"

Youre saying you want change but you dont want change......Are you sure youre not on the board?????

Nothing concise about what you want.....

Thats what i am positive i want changed.....
:-D

I dont hate anyone.... (except whoever organised the Commonweath Games baton to waste over a half an hour of my day today)... I JUST WANT CHANGE!!!!

And when a club is coming last Italian Blue.. and its last everywhere and on every count.. i cant just walk along behind them being told.. "Its just beyond the horizon just keep walking!!!"

I like change... because change stops things from being stale....

Were stale!!!

Make no mistake!!!

Im not guessing....

Can i ask you a question???

You know how your Master gives X amouynt of dollars to the Age epicure each week????

Why cant he get them to do some positive right ups about us in the Age???

Thats alot of serious $$$$$$$$$$$$$ hes spending on the Age each week...
Do you even have any idea what a full page ad costs each week in the Age????

Id spew if he uses that goodwill for his own benefit and we see a great big artiucle on him for his re election...and he hasnt used the credits on getting the club on the front foot in the media.
seeing thats his role on the board...

Lets see what happens shall we????

Ive had enough of the' Il Globo' angle...

As I said before servicing the debt is not the issue the difference in servicing a debt of $7,000,000 and $6,000,000 is about $80,000 small potatos in the whole scheme of thing.

The key is to increase revenue.

The board were banking on keeping members at 30,000+ and it hasn't happened.

I am all for unity and sticking fat in a time of crisis and I was all for retaining Denis Pagan and showing some loyalty.

But unfortunately I have seen nothing this year which tells me Denis is changing the team for the better - I was all for patience and all the cliches eg. changing direction on an Ocean Liner it will take time. 3 years into a 5 year sentence.

But clearly the 6000 members are sick of it and dont wont to be a part of it anymore.

These people jumped on board to support Carlton in its darkest hour after Black Friday 2002 when our membership soared for the first time through the 30,000 barrier.

People wont to see some positives - I know too many people who are not renewing their memberships and its the same reason - Pagan.

We have got to get those 6000 members back - and I dont think keeping Pagan as coach is going to bring them back.

They need to see something on the field that gives them hope for the future.

We need some vision from the board not negativity - the media will pounce on negativity, you saw it last night on The Footy Show, what was meant to be a pump up for members turned into a kick Carlton while its down scenario with a President with as much media charisma as a tub of old lard.

The 6000 people are there - they are not a myth, mirage. Abuse them for not sticking fat call them not true supporters - but we need their money and they aint giving it. WHY?????

There is a 10-15% churn rate with memberships each year, so the true number of members who have not signed on from last year is most likely closer to 9000.

I haven't renwed since the end of 2004 season. Totally pissed off with the Board and Administration back then and particularly the way they handled the move. At the time they said 80% of members voted in favour of the move. That is complete bullshit. They voted in favour of the one and only position that was put to them. Plenty wanted to move but not to TD.

Don't underestimate the feeling of discontent that the move caused. I still go every week but there is no way I will ever re-sign as a member whilst these dick heads are running the show

KERMIT.. that decision was done before our highest ever membership.

Our problems has NOTHING to do with the move.. (except maybe you and Chris) it has everything to do with the narrow minded , sinsipid, directionless running of this footy club...

Im the opposite to KERMIT but we have the same disobedience.

I pay for my membership but refuse to go

I suppose I'm the bigger moron then :? ... $500 that I could be spending on booze going into a machine that creates bitterness... I pay the money but can't sit through it. At least KERMIT gets some entertainment for his $0....

On one level I'm glad 6000 didn't renew because its sends a message... but I couldn't bring myself to be one.... and I can't bring myself to watch how pathetic our coaching is.
