interesting about the petition - why are people worried about it?

if he is right and million sign then good on him

if he ias wrong and no one signs, still good on him.

if we cease to take actions fearful of the media's response we are stuffed.

will I sign it? No. But I'll still have a beer with Cammo - at least he wants to do something.

Our problem is not the petition, this is only a response to our problems.

Good post. Couldn't agree more. Wouldn't mind beer either.

I don't think I said it was Cammo's fault that people are feeling anti the coach, but the petition, and argument surrounding the petition, is certainly adding fire to people's dislike of Pagan et al, and the more that fire burns, the more damage it can do - like seeing good members tear up their memberships...

People have always been frustrated at selection decisions, this is nothing different... perhaps we should turn selection night into a reality TV show where supporters get to SMS in their selections? Actually, why not run the club that way full stop if we don't agree with what they're doing?
Membership is already down 20% and that's because of our onfield lack of perfomance, passion and real committment over the last few years. At times it's been a real embarrassment. Much of that can be attributted to Pagan. Members will only put up with so much for so long and won't continue to big $$$ to follow a cause that is not giving them value for money. Like it or not, that's human nature. If we get another couple of years like the last few we will be gone! The only way to go forward, when it's all said and done, is to win games. Just don't se that happening under our current coach as I don't believe he has the respect of the players. It's one big reason I don't mind the idea of a petition. Don't care if we look like another Richmond or not, we already look a rabble anyway in the eyes of others, just want something to happen.

I remember sitting at Optus Oval for the Port v Carlton game - or horror movie for want of a better term - and some guy said in the third quarter 'Unless he plays the kids all year from here, this'll lose us 5000 members'. Pretty good pick, really. Being deflated so early on in the season can't have helped.

2nd half last week was the same as the Port game. I've never been so deflated as these two cases.

Pagan told all that it wouldn't happen again, he thought the players had progressed beyond those insipid performances.
