He's a busy man Fahoud but it's not totally impossible.

My understanding is if the NAB guy can come in as a figurehead president...to make the deals around Collins street.
they will go after a gun CEO to run the club...

This isnt bullshit but it must come together.

We are pretty close to a new era.... keep your fingers crossed.

Not much respect for smorgon to be the man.

Why would anyone give 7 million to people who they think are doing a shit job? Especially when the donor is one of the most succesful businessman this country has produced.

Imagine what those business skills, not to mention connections both here and overseas, could do for our club. This guys empire is huge. We would not have to listen to Eddie gloat about Collingwood being the Man United of Australian footy, we would be right up there, believe me.

Well! This is proving to be a veeerrryyy interesting week in old Carlton town. :o

Fingers crossed that any deal that comes to fruition doesn't see a return of the Old Boys Club.

Can we find an extra couple dollars at the same time to buy a new gameplan?

1. so someone with a bit of money can overturn member's voting decision?
2. Just because someone had success with their cardboard business it doesn't mean they can successfully run a football club.

Caro must be pulling her hair out trying to get an angle on this story, if it's true.

Or a steel business...

Or because that business was a hand me down....

When youre building something from scratch its always better to have people who know what it takes to start with nothing handle it.
Were kind of starting again... kids with toys cant cut it.

Josh????.. sam smorgon may have been the right man for the job.. (i dont know much about him).. but Graeme has no clue... 2 minutes talking about his philosphies on footy is enough.... ive spent much more time than that however...
I have respect for David out at the Dogs .... even though he is a second generation because he rolls up his sleeves and gets down with the masses... the masses dictate to you what the market is...

Lets x our fingers and hope it all happens.
NAB dude president (seeing he hasnt got the time to do it all.. we get ourselves a Ron Cook type who can run the day to day runnings.. and leave the introductions to the president and his men with the nouse and the contacts to take us forward.

Thats what its all about...

If they can clear the debt between them.. thats even better...

If this is true.. Smorgon can clear the debt too and stay on.... or he will have to move on.

If its true Pratt has put him in a bind.. and the AFL cant be an easy option for Smorgo.. he will have to get fair dinkum or leave...

If the Pratt story is true and then current board care about Carlton's well been, then the board should all quit. For some reason, I can't see it happening.

I did remember Elliot saying recently that there were plenty of wealthy Carlton supporters who would not give money to the club until the current board was gone....
