You gave up too easy Game. A big difference is the Blues reps listed are 5 years younger than the Bomber counterparts. The core player group at the Bombers comprise a bunch of 28 year olds + - hardly the basis for team development or advancement. Thus my belief that Essendon* are further behind the Blues on the 'Premiership Clock'.

Much of the same...although I did get a "Sheedy would have looked at the Irish series (u/17's) and saw that Bryce Gibbs was the next Hird...the injuries are only a part of it...why would you leave Joel Reynolds on Fevola otherwise when you have McPhee and Lovett as the better options"...and that was a valid argument.

the 'premiership clock' or 'first to 17' theory is intriguing as well. With Kennedy in there I can see a developing and dangerous forward line...where Essendon*'s is more developed and retiring. Midfield - I rate ours higher...although Essendon*'s Monfries (will be in the middle soon), Stanton and Dyson are the real deal. Backlines - well...both are not that great - Fletcher has been a champion - but his days are numbered. Thornton really isn't a Full Back IMHO and I'd like us to get a lanky backman in the draft somewhere. Bower is too small for KPP...give him a month of senior footy from round 18 and put him on the wing.

Think quick.

"Yeah i'm not suprised, who was going to leg Fev and Swan dive in front of goal without them?!" Especially with Campo out too!

He will F@%&#! destroy Essendon*.

But they've got Peverill :-D

I'd pay good money to see Courtney Johns play on Judd.... then again, I also like Monster Truck rallies

I actually don't know any Essendon* supporters at my work

ok, one.... but she's not all that into it, and also, she's a bit of alright so I saved her the comments.

I am quite outnumbered with 2 Collingwood and 2 Bobmers supporters at work.

Essemdon supporters have been very depressed, but quite civil about things.

If anything they are tending to be like masochists and seem to verging upon threatening themselves with self harm.

One wants to leave Victoria for the duration of the footy season and looks like he wants to slash his wrists and the other says he hopes that their crisi gets worse so the Bombers will get rid of sheedy.

Game that excuse would wash if they actually rated Fevola and Whitnall. Like most other teams' supporters our top players get no acknowledgement or respect. They can't then say oh you would have struggled without them....

Even bloody Sheedy said that Fletcher would not have been able to stop at least 4 of Fev's goals.

I dont have any Essendon* fans at work.
Mainly, Richmond and Geelong, those who actually follow footy anyway. However, there are a fair few parents that support the blues, so I was able to share my excitement with them.

Don't worry they've still got Angus More-frees (who plays like a genetic offspring of Gavin Wanganeen and Matty Lloyd).

Yes it was John. He'll disagree with that & find some excuse for it! Oh, and he thinks Walks has been very disappointing & doesn't understand why we get so excited by him. But Courtney Johns is going to be a gun :garthp:

I was told that "nobody but Essendon* supporters know how good Courtney Johns can be, he's had the WORST luck with injuries, once he's up and firing, he will be a champion"

I was like "uh huh, ummmm that's great, yeah, ummmmm, hope he comes good for you.............."

My best mate is an Essendon* supporter. All I've heard from him since Sunday is a text asking if I want to meet him today and watch the Mundine v Green fight at the pub :)
