Key player in our line up but I dont think will ever play a season without being injured as he seems unlucky and prone to injury. The trick is to have him fit for the finals when they come around..same deal for Waite..

Am I missing something or has Hartlett re-injured his hamstring, AGAIN? The site says another 3 to 4 weeks!!!! IIRC, he did the hamstring 3 weeks ago!!!!

Wangers when he did it 3 weeks ago they said 6-8 weeks on the Injury list in the paper. It sounds like a killer of a tear - sort of like when you really hurt yourself with some bad Indian food.

I saw the Carlton boys at The Star Bar, South Melbourne last night and Walker said that Fish has broken his shoulder.

Poor Fish.

He really needs to put on 5 more kilo to take the punishment of AFL footy.

Especially if he is gonna play as well as that and back into packs.

Go Fish

Watched the replay last night and it seems to me that Carlton would do well to leave Fev one out in the goal square with space around him to lead into, and get the rest of the forwards the hell away from Fev.

The commentators on CH 9 also seemed to be staggered that we were limiting Fev's potential impact by allowing the forward line to be so congested with Carlton players and boxing Fev in.

Fisher needs to keep well away from Fev, and provide a target further up the ground and drag his opponent with him to stop himself being steamrolled by his own team mate, and prevent his oponent from manning off and double teaming Fev in the goal square.

Hurry back soon Fish we need to get our forward line structure and plays settled, to really keep the pressure on the opposition every week.

Problem is if we leave a whole the opposition fills it with floaters.

This is why Fisher has been so vital to the team because he can take a pack mark when Fev gets scragged out of the way (nearly every time).

Thank goodness for Kennedy.

Hurry back Fish.

With Fisher out for a little while, would this be a time to try to introduce the irishman to the seniors game?
The forward line may be a lil top heavy, but i do not think that we are going to do too well for the next 4 weeks, and this may give Setanta the role that he needs to learn the game. Maybe subbing on and off with Kennedy throughout the game. Any thoughts???

i think thats a pretty fair call, but i cant see it happening while deluca is in the team. he seemingly will get the nod over santy at this stage.

if french comes back this week, then he a mclaren will ruck (with maybe d mac down back at times) so archie will no doubt go forward.

Deluca Waite Houla
Betts Fevola Kennedy

would be too top heavy having santy in aswell you'd think.
i wouldn't mind it if he came in and perhaps we tryed waite down back and gave kennedy a decent crack at CHF.
