I will probably get my share of abuse but I reckon you can't captain from full forward.

OK - Sticks did it for all that time, but I reckon you need to be in the thick of it to captain ..

IMHO

Also, the article mentions Fevs's "two handball performance in the corresponding fixture last season". Wasn't Fevs at full back for that one, against the G-Train?! Not a fair rap, IMHO

No that was the year before I think .

Fevs going Ok but lets not get to carried away its only round 7 and he has allready been suspended for one week - copped a $3000 finE been looked at by the match revue commitee a further 2 times and the one on the weekend for the elbow in the nuts he was very lucky.

He has got the talent he has the ability its just keeping him under control thats the biggest worry .

We've only won two games and he's leading the Coleman ... give the guy a break.

What do you disagree with showbag - I said he is going OK and the rest are plain facts . Earlier post were suggesting he should be captain he wont even take on a roll in the leadership group.

Fev's clearly turned the corner now in terms of his career.

- my local club's motto is "enjoy your footy" and it's been working for us - I get the feeling that Fev may enjoying his footy now to a greater degree than previously!

If Fev is going Ok while leading the goalkicking there must be a lot of guys struggling

Sticks did it from CHF if he was allowed to play his career at FF he would have kicked over 1000.

My point is, I think that you could have as easily said ... he has been great for us so far. His second efforts have been top class, he really appears to have been working on the areas that he is regularly criticised for, he is leading the goalkicking and it is no surprise that the two games that he kicked a bag, we have won ...BUT...you chose to focus on the negative, not the positive.

You give examples where you infer he is undisciplined and yet i could as easily argue he has been the only one flying the flag to lift the team in a physical sense. When we were struggling against Freo and Sydney it was his hard work and physical acts that gave the young blokes a heads up to say 'c'mon fellas - we are in this game, lets give a bit more'. He may not formally be in the leadership group, but that is leadership in my book.

Imagine if Fev was playing the flaccid kind of footy that Kouta has been this year ... we'd have hundreds of pages slagging of the club for not trading him for greg tivendale.

...so i guess that is what i meant by give him a break...he is moving in the right direction and deserves the plaudits from his fans, leave the biased unfair scrutiny to the media.

Great post Showbag. I agree 100% on your summations of Fev's year. T

The guy's always going to wear his heart on his sleeve, as long as his hearts in the right place (ie his team mates) then thats going to be a good thing in a team that struggles for inspiration.

I reckon Kouta got upset on sunday cause he knows that he is struggling.

You are right about Fev. He is the only one at the moment that is flying the flag when the kids are getting a bit of in and under.

Maybe Kouta needs to fire up a bit?

fev will kick a few this week, he looks really strong at the moment.

...Has he made his way back home yet? 8)

Fev must be spewing he missed the Hawks game. It's cost him at least 8 goals.
