Interesting site posted on BigFooty containing all the stats that matter. Is this your site Jarusa?

We get the most free kicks in the league and we constantly blame the umpires for bad games, stats mean DICK in the free kick department, they don't tell you where the free's are or if they result in a score. Actually, most stats mean DICK, as we should know from our midfielders.

Stats i do like though are heaps more Tackles, dunno if that means we chase more or not and Kade Simpson with the most bounces (29), love it when he tucks it under the arm and takes off.

Ive been using this site for sometime. IF you click on the Seasons tab on the left, then click on 'Tips', there is like a computer generated tipping thing there which i look at. Ive been back and had a look at the last few seasons and he is actually pretty accurate, even had a few 8's aswell

Has been handy in the tipping when picking the 50/50 matches

Also another good site is:

http://www.finalsiren.com/Default.asp

If you go to player statsistics and look at the last two columns under rating and avg, its actually the score they get for dreamteam on the AFL website. It also allows you to compare players against each other

Another good one is

http://www.footywire.com/

You can compare teams head to head and the likes. All good sites

No mate, they are the big boys who supply a lot of stats to the teams. IIRC former Carlton player Ted Hopkins is one the main people who started it.

My site just has a few articles and a heap of graphs, http://www.footygeek.com

finalsiren, pro-stats and footywire are awesome sites.

I went to the final siren but couldn't hear anything - it just isn't loud enough. So then I tried pro stats and it was just sensational.

The Footywire previews are great and the interesting thing about the figures foir this week is that we lead the Saints in most areas :) .

A run down would be a tackle?

Well it would be a tackle, every run down is a tackle, but not every tackle is a run down.

I'm talking about the number of times Eddie or Aaron Davey chase someone down, lay a tackle, and it results in a holding the ball decision.

Not a bullshit 'everyone jump on it and ping the bloke at the bottom' type holding the ball, but a chase down and resultant pinging of the ball carrier.

So there is a difference...

I understand what you mean. Would be good but I think they just class is at a tackle. A stat i want is how many times a player slips over in a contest.
