Good news BW. Do you happen to know the final bench, or just that Blackers made the cut?

Go Blackers - Congratulations on the call up
Good to see Pagan bringing in the youth one at a time.
So that will be Walker (just 20, Happy Birthday for yesterday Walks!), Kennedy, Blackers, Murph and Betts all in the side at once - that is a lot of youth hopefully they will play together for many more years (and not forgetting Russ as well)

I was impressed with Blackwell in the Nab Cup, for a small guy he doesn't mind putting his head down to get a hard ball. This will be a good game for him to learn in, the Saints have some quality on ballers.

Wayne Blackwelldebuted for the Blues at 23 years of age in 1984, won best first year player and finished 6th in the Best and Fairest (not bad for a Pom).

Luke at least has bragging rights over his Dad by debuting at 19 for the Blues. Lets hope by the end of his career he has a few more bragging rights over his old man.

Congratulations too Blackers.

No matter what happens it brings a smile tooyour face with these guys playing.

Hopefully by just after the mid year we will see all of them at once:

Murphy, Kennedy, Blackwell, Russell, Hartlett, Walker, Betts, Bower etc.

Have always been impressed by this guy.Little not a long kick a bit slow but the guy is tough and has terrific vision with his use of handball. Will be a great replacement for Bentick and is a guy you will do a job in the clearences for us.With Bentick off resting Blackwelloff the bench is an obvious replacement.

Well done Blackers.May it be the first of many.

As per Barnesy, it brings a smile. Hope they have a small enough jumper or he has grown. The final I saw him play for Swan Districts, his jumper looked like a potato sack with a head popping out

If he is half as determined as his old man he will be great value....watched him play a few games for Swan Districts and was impressed with his coolness in heavy traffic and no doubt he will be a player once he is settled as a regular...finally we are seeing some progression and faith in youth...

Gotta go! :P

Great to see Carlton finally backing the kids in and it's a miracle what early draft picks can do for a side. :(
