Fantastic news!!! I hope this motivates our supporters to make an effort to go to the game this week & cheer on the blues.

Walker, AB, carrotts, Eddie, Murphy (I've always wanted to write that!!), Simmo, Kennedy & Blackers - this is what all the pain has been for.

This week would have to be our best chance to beat the Saints for a very long time. When was our last win against them????????????????

Glad to see him earning a spot in the side... Hope he kicks on... What's up with JR by the way? Is he injured?

Always a great day for the club to have a youngster come through in his Dad's footsteps.

It's always just that little bit more special cheering them on knowing they were born and bred to love the navy blue, just like Waitey, Whits and SoS.

Luke at least has bragging rights over his Dad by debuting at 19 for the Blues. Lets hope by the end of his career he has a few more bragging rights over his old man.

Yeh but his dad also played for Claremont over 100 games and if anyone think it was just the WAFL are kidding themselves,it was as hard as the VFL and SA back then.

Blackwell hopes it runs in family
Quote:
"Also the training because I was a bit of a lightweight (70kg) when I got here, so I've put on just over 7kg."

The entire Blackwell clan will be at the MCG tomorrow, with Wayne, who is assistant coach at Swan Districts this season, and the rest of the family flying over from Perth late last night

Will be a greater day for all of Carlton if we can get up for him and beat the Aints for the first time in 5 years. :)

Fair point Rambo. I was more making the point that debuting for the Blues is a great honour in and of itself that would give him bragging rights over his dad.
