I don't think even Donna Summer could get our club excited at the moment, I can't be mad at Denis, but I can be mad at the players for the collective display of a limp wrist.
I also agree that if the flood isn't working they need to release the players, and they probably did to a degree.
But Jimmae, who is it that has a direct input into how the players approach the game, fires them up and hopefully instils confidence in them ?? Yep, Pagan does and this is where we are getting well beaten before the team takes the field. In most games, we are being badly outscored in the first quarter and the game is effectively over by 1/4 time. We do make up some ground (not today though) over the other three quarters but it's all too late.
Last week, the team was ready to go from the start & had the right frame of mind to face the Bombers, the result was a win. This came courtesy of a Steve Kernahan speech, nothing to do with Denis Pagan.
The game plan makes sense as the initial one, it addresses our faults and attempts to make it difficult for other teams to exploit them.
The place is like a funeral parlor at the moment, sure a new coach would give a brief injection of confidence to the club because he's fresh and new and a change at some level, but the changes we need are on the playing list, the man is one of the games great thinkers and has not been shaken by the latest developments and does not display arrogance or contempt of other people's thoughts and views unless they are speaking out of turn.
Surely that speaks volumes about the bloke and how he is working through the situation that lies before him. That's all I'm going to say in response to that.
Oh actually, the Bombers line up was inferior to ours, that's how teams devoid of confidence generally win games of football.
