Score:
Carlton 34
St Kilda 126

Disposals:
Carlton 333
St Kilda 348

Considering we lost by 92 points but only had 15 disposals less than St Kilda, whats that say for our efficiency??

Last night Geelong lost to Collingwood by 102 points, but Coll had 427 disposals to Geelongs 340 and we actually only had 2 less tackles than St Kilda. Its just the use of the ball is killing us, once we address this problem i think we could be capable of winning a few games this year

Seems Carlton are getting alot of the ball but cant do much with it. Disposals per goal was 19 to 83

Lots of stats going nowhere around in circles. The Inside 50's told a different story- 58 to 32 and we had a lot more clangers.

This game was as close a proxy to the pre-season Port game as I can think of. So many sideways movements because the boys could not or would not find space up ahead. Stats like those don't count. They should be stricken from the playing record of all concerned.

Its a pity for Wiggins who broke his stats record (from memory) and at least he tried positive ball movement, but this was so like Port it wasn't funny. A 5-6 man flood/grouping between 30 and 80 metres from our goal, raffle it between them, run forward whilst Blue midfielders were scratching their heads in between them.

Laughable if it wasn't so sad.

I think Seagull has made a very good point.

You can't win games if you can't get the ball. According to those stats, compared to St Kilda, we didn't really have any problems getting the ball. So why did we lose so badly? Even though we could get the ball we couldn't use it effectively.
