The sad thing is I dont even know what we were doing today..
We weren't flooding like Geelong were last week- some St Kilda mates of mine said they'd never seen the forward line so open??

Maybe it's because of the wider expanses of the G but we just don't have a game plan. We are so reactive, so lacking skill, so lacking any semblence of intensity, so profoundly crap that I was just laughing for 3 Quarters today.. Either that or I would have been crying..

This is our 5th year of being crap- yes I understand that it's part of the process, the cycle or whatever, but I'm sick of it. Teams that are well managed and well coached should bounce back quicker then we are- as Tim Watson said about his Dons last week, the fish rots at the head..

Replace Denis with who????
What we need desparately is a backline. I'm not saying that what we have are crap players but we have guys who are not good enough to pick up the best forwards in the competition. Give us a 2 players of the ability of Benny Rutten from the Crows and suddenly guys like Thornton dont have to pick up the best forwards. He will be a much better player for it. Lance gets to go forward where he belongs. Many teams would love to have Lance and Fev up forward! Our problems are down the back - any team with quality forwards will beat us for now.
All you guys who hate the keepies off game (played beautifully by Richmond yesterday) do you have another way for us to get close to the Crows next week??Yes it is crap to watch but very effective.

Of course there is alot coming through... its in the firsts...

What we have to do is develop it and trade smart...and ruthless.

Im not depressed about the scores... the process is a killer...

No flower idea...!!!!!

*Gameplan ?
*Development?
*Creativity?

Where is it?????

everyone looks confused!!!
everyone looks like theyre walking on eggshells..!!!!

its a shambles!!!....

Nothing to do only with the players.... sure they arent the best.... but why wouldnt you play Carazzo in the guts each week with Bentick???They can find the ball...

why not just drop Kouta so more players are chasing on the field???

Why not allow them to just play football.

Kids are from the park.. theyre used to playing football... enjoyment ..

Were shackling everyone!!!...

FLOOD YOUR TO YOUR HEARTS CONTENT..
lOOK FOR CREDIBLE LOSSES..
SAVE YOUR CAREERS...

AND DONT WORRY ABOUT THE KIDS!!!!..,.`THEY CAN GET DROPPED/ DELISTED.. AND YOU CAN BLAME THE flower LIST...

There is no positivity... if there was Bentick wouldnt be benched!!.. Kennedy wouldnt be on the bench....

Are they painted onto the ground????

How do they feel??.. do they think theyre not good enough???

If they do feel theyre not good enough.. and they believe it.. you can tell the board to save Elshaugh again.. cos the players arent good enough..(Russell) and all they have to do is delist them and have another crack at another freak like Murphy....!!!

Howabout treating them like theyre the future????

BINGO THAT jimmae!!!
Replace Pagan with who???...replace him with ANTONE!!!!

Too big an ego for where we are at....

Hang on, so you agree with me then complain about me?

The fact that some of these kids are out on the park is saying that they are the future, I mean Kennedy and Murphy haven't even been in the AFL system for 12 months.

That's all I've got because you know what I have to say about the other stuff.

I want us to play direct attacking football and get thumped by 92pts than the stupid pathetic crap we play week after week.
I want JR in the team.
I want Saddington dropped.
I want Bad Santa to stop taking out his own players in marking contests.
I want Lance up forward.
I want the Cheer Squad to come up with something new besides Carlton, clap, clap clap.
I want Subway at the MCG.
I want the pies to arrive at the game early so they can defrost in time for when i arrive.
I want Jackson and Flint promoted for Waite (LTI) and Fisher (LTI).
I want Kouta to pay any fines incurred during the melee.

and last of all, I want Lachlan Hansen in the draft.

No i dont know what you have to say... can you join the dots please???

Before you go on... can you please also count up how many retreads Denis had brought to the club and how many are on the list at the mo.. and how many should be here next year???

That might also give you an answer about THE LIST!!
Also.. how many players under 23 have actually progressed since he has been here....

Count them up and give us your analysis...

Weve probably turned over 20 odd players from other clubs since he has been here...

and in 4 years none of our players have reached any dizzy heights...

Pretty damning as to why we have to do this...with kids.

I tried to find an article to support this but couldnt, but I remember after that dreadful day against Port Adelaide in the pre season and DP apologised for that and said something along the lines of he promised the supporters wouldn't see that performance again. Is this right in what he said?

If the above is true, where does today sit, if it is not in the never again bracket.

If it is in the never again bracket, does someone put their hand up and take responsibility, or were they as empty as the hopes of a win at 1/4 time today?

Well I can understand that. So then seeing as he (or the lost draft picks we clearly havent gotten over) broke his promise, who takes responsibility for such a stupid promise to make?

He may as well promise to win the premiership if such throw away lines are easy to do. I thought he hated being pissed on.

Look this footy club at the moment is out of touch.... it doesnt know how to treat its members.. its too hard to work to a plan .. (thats too hard and too painful)... so we take the cross our fingers and pray approach...

Denis wouldnt know 100% we wont get thrashed... but he did cross his fingers and pray we wouldnt.. and so did Elshaugh..

I don't quite understand supporters criticism of Pagan's game plan. It did not cost us the game. Whether we played Pagan's paddock or a short chipping game we still would have got smashed. Those of you with the belief playing man on man would make a difference are oversimplying the gravity of our deficiencies.

We cannot execute any game plan FULL STOP. Our list is the worst in the AFL FULL STOP. Simple as that. When we play the short possession game, our players (with the exception of few) cannot execute simple passes without turning them into contests. Only a handful know when and where to run into open space to create an option. Our decision making is third world standard, a reflection of our record of recruiting non thinking footballers.

So play man on man I hear some advocate. I cannot recall us winning many contests and where the game was lost? In the middle where most of the contests took place. We got slaughtered. They cut off our supply to our forwards and put our backline in the firing line.We could not break their tackles, they easily broke ours. They had more players around the ball all day. Cannot recall seeing our midfield with the ball not under pressure whereas their players had all the time in the day to size up their options.

No more than half a dozen Carlton players would get a spot in the Saints side and most of them on the bench. The scoreline reflects this.

The fish does not rot from the head. The fish rots from the midfield when it comes to Carlton.

Still going to stick with the club and Coach. Divisiveness amongst the supporter base is only going to make us into a clone of Richmond. There is a time and place to review our current Football department and it is in September.

Ok, but do you think he is getting his message through ????

I think thats a very salient question right now...

How effective is he in getting the players to play football?

If we signed him for another year would you be happy with that????

The improvement only starts to happen after Pagan leaves.

Pathetic, insipid effort today - no doubt the saints are better skilled and overall a better side HOWEVER the one thing as a 38yr old supporter I can't accept is our attack on the ball and the oppostion.

I felt like jumping on the ground to show some of our piss weak players how to *&^*&^ tackle, bump and block a team mate. I can accept we have a weak list but I can not accept how soft we are.

I can't recall the last time a Carlton player actullay laid a heavy bump or a tackle that actaully hurt someone. I'm not looking for punches or anything untoward but I want our players to play with pride when they wear the famous jumper.

In the second quater Milne, Powell and Baker were throwing their weight around and we were pathetic, ^&*^&*^ useless - not one waved the flag for our famous proud club.

PISS WEAK, I would be prepared to walk over hot coals for this club unfortunately we don't have many players that wear the jumper with pride. Too many have hearts the size of peas.

Our big blokes - Deluca, McLaren, Saddington for &^*&^ god sake use your weight and crash through a pack - you will be surprised what it could do for confidence for the youngsters.

GUTTED - embarrased and pissed off.

Synbad -like I said earlier Pagan is not our problem - the problem is the list, particularly the backline. Recruit a decent backline and wins will follow. We have players playing in key positions down back who are not capable.A decent forward line will continue to kill us.
