Talking with a mate from ABC's newsroom.

Standing by for official word, but said it's looking very grim for Waite...

Brace yourselves for more bad news. :(

...and what better way to do that than a knee injury...
how has Kouta gone after he had the opportunity to re-assess his career 3 times?

well there was no way he was going to be dropped and he needs to sit back and watch a few games where players drop back into Fev's space....and he needs to watch some players take marks with BOTH hands on their chest....

he is garbage at the moment, im sick of seeing the ball bombed into fev only to see waite et al. drop into fev's space and either spoil fev or spill easy marks. it's not good enough....

i'm not saying the knee injury is good, im saying the time off from football is good....yeah it's great that a player that already lacks marking ability and heart is now also going to be lacking pace if he comes back....

way to take me literally dude.

Injuries are bad in a year where you're going for the Flag.

Injuries are moderately bad in a year where you think you may be a chance for the Flag but find yourself in between 5th and 8th.

Injuries are OK when your're sitting at the bottom of the ladder trying to work out which players have a career. Does it really matter that Waite will be out when we're not going to be playing finals? its good for us as

* pagan has to try something different. different structures.
* players get an opportunity to perform at all levels eg Bullants reserves may get to play for the ants
* some players may get promoted

Geez could you narrow it down a bit, you've just described 3/4 of the list there!!

What about how knee injuries can mean a reduction in athletic ability?
What about the more football younger footballers play in the AFL, the more experience they gain, hence the increase in the learning curve?
Don't downgrade this people. Waite has the potential to be a significant weapon in our future. Lets hope his agility/athletic ability is not greatly reduced. This knee incident is not good!

it might stop him jumping around like a fool and spilling marks when all he needs to do is run in a straight line and keep his feet...
