OUT
1SADDINGTON no confidence in aerial contests poor decision making with disposal.Should of been dragged after feeble marking contest with Mark Johnson 2 weeks ago.
2DELUCA gives the team nothing. He needs more than suction cups
3KOUTA needs a rest
4WAITE injured
5MCGRATH Hasnt been the worst but isnt the future and makes too many mistakes under pressure(no look handball to NR)

IN
1LIVO form warrants it.Kept Edwards quiet.Means Lance can go forward.
2BANNISTER Better option than Saddington because he is a better mark and can run better.Deserves one last chance to see if he can cut the mustard.
3O"HAILPIN needs to be played now in the seniors surrounded by Fev and Lance. In his 2 games he has been surrounded by inexperience up forward.Could pose a hard matchup for the crows particularly with Hart out
4RUSSELL Gets McGrath's roll and needs to be played in the seniors for a month
5BRYAN Deserves a go .Will at least provide a body on body contest.

You might think I am mad but I have a feeling it will be a close contest. We play well at Footy Park and went close in the corresponding game last year.Dont be suprised. But Pagan must play Lance in attack.I personally dont rate the Crows forward line and Perries loss is huge.A vastly underated footballer.

I am amazed that Deluca is still on our list. What on earth does the club see in him. He wouldn't get a game at any other club yet we continue to select him...WHY????

Look, i wont be harsh on McLaren because he is a goer.. but he is too short to be a ruckman.
It was ok at Brissy he just had to force a contest and bring the ball to ground.. they still had players at ground level that could do the job.
Were a young team and we need a Cox .
We wont get a Cox so it was no point taking Dylan either.. its just crossing your fingers and hoping... we do that alot these days... its from desperation.
They should have a plan and stick to it instead of hoping.. it works over a three or four year period.

Should have drafted a Cameron Wood/Meeson.

Deluca - gives us absolutely NOTHING
Waite
McGrath -
Betts - can't get near it atm

In
Russell - Play him in his hometown, then for 2 more weeks
French - Don't know why we dropped our "#1" ruckman
Bryan - Use as a crash and bash forward
Bannister - Solid body

I am still at a loss as to why people want to see Setanta in this side - he will get humiliated

Out
Carazzo - cant get the footy and lacks polish when he does get it
McGrath - no vision, poor decision maker, no future
Deluca - worst player in the AFL
Betts - Too many disappearing acts
Bentick - Looks injured to me.
Kouta - The champ is done and dusted
Saddo - lacks hardness

In.
Russell
(Play as many kids as possible)

Last year, we went to Adelaide with only Deluca & Prendagast to contest the ruck (French injured).

Please Denis, don't make the same mistake again! For the love of jesus christ and all things sacred and pure, bring back French &/or Bryan.

Out:-
DeLuca
McGrath
Waite
Saddington

In:-
Russell (To Replace McGrath)
Sentanta (To Replace Waite)
French (To Replace DeLuca)
Bannister (To Replace Saddington)

+ by bringing Sentanta to the seniors along with one of French or Bryan, this will pave the way for one of our Rookie Ruckmans to be promoted to the senior bullants side (Aisakie being my preference - that's if he aint suspended)

BUT FOR GOD SAKE - TAKE A @#$%&! RUCKMAN THIS TIME DENIS!!!!

Is Barnaby being punsihed for some indiscretion? Surely he is not in the Bullants on form. We cannot win a ruck contest and our best ruckman is not injured yet not in the side. From his past at Brisbane and in glimpses with us, McLaren would be worth a try as a defender on a tall forward in permanent back pocket or half back. He showed a bit occassionally as the loose man in defence by could be more as a regular defender.

Without Hudson, the Crows are relying on the lifeless Matthew Clarke who can barely jump as high as Stevie Kenna. I reckon we should try to exploit this as much as we can:

IN: French, Aisake as a Darryl White tupe ruckman, Russell, Prendergast
OUT: Deluca, McGrath, Waite, Saddington

Aisake is promoted with Davies announced as a long term injury tomorrow (making this up). He can jump over Clarke to give us some clearances. French takes defensive rucks and blocks up gaps. Russell goes straight to back pocket to replace McGrath

Prendergast is in for 1 reason only, to throw himself at flooded packs and knock the ball to ground. Hopefully he will kill 3 or 4 Crows.

its a pitty both Harts and Bower are out injured..... would have love to seen Russel, Harts and Bower play this week, that would have been Simpson, Walks, Betts, Russel, Harts, Murph, Kennedy and Bower instead of Mcgrath, Saddo, Wiggins, Carrazzo, Sporn, Bannister.

McLaren is not a ruckman, but he does a hell of a lot more than DeLuca in that dept. They,re on our list becuase of our desperate position. However IMO DeLuca should remain on the list (contacted till end 07), and if he doesn't improvement in 2006-7...seeya.

IN: French Livo Prender Bannister Russell
OUT: Saddo DeLuca McGrath Betts Waite (inj)

FB Thornton Livo Carrazzo
HB Wiggins Prender Houla
C Walker Bentick Murphy
HF Simmo Whitnall Kouta
FF Lappin Fev Kennedy

RR French Stevens Scotland

IC McLaren Russell Bannister Blackwell

Desperate for ruckmen I include McLaren (I wish he could play a KP in defense, but pace is an issue). I'd throw OhAlpin to support French in the ruck, just to out reach other ruckmen, but because I don't know if he's up to it McLaren is the support. Biglands is big and Clarke is tall, and both are too much for McLaren.

Bryan hasn't shown enough in the twos at this stage. Prenders has.He can release Whits to the forwardline.

Now that Fish and Waite are injured, Whitnall is needed in the forwardline.

I am not a fan of Wiggins, but credit where credit is due, he broke into the side, and has shown more than most in last 2 weeks. Pref Russell to be there otherwise.

Adelaide has alot of runners, and this is where Walker can be used most effectively. Need to use up that talent.

We need some tough bodies in the clinches, as Adelaide have a bit of weight in that division, hence Scotland, Bentick and Stevo (Kouta too, and he needs to show more desire ). Blackers to rotate with Bentick, Kouta to rotate with Scotland, and Bannister can play a run with role, with Stevens rotated to a FP. If Kouta looks ordinary, throw him in a BP,and if that fails rest him. Bannister gives us some flexibility and is most capable to tag Goodwin all game.

Go Blues.

I'd like to see those changes. Given Prenda isn't likely to get a game though maybe retain McGrath

Ubet what's with the attack on DMac. He's given us much more than DeLuca and French put together for the whole year.

Mclaren has been ok but agree with the Sailorman that he isnt big enough and not the fix we are looking for...just another bandaid.....handy to have on the list but not the answer...

Saddington should be dropped and never recalled and was a complete waste of a pick..how he gets a game is beyond me....Livingston at least gives you a contest..Saddington doesnt..

The Gezman is on the money...play the kids unless injured and I would promote a rookie and LTI list Waite or Davies....

Out
Deluca
Kouta (rested)
Waite
Betts
McGrath

In
French (only on account of him getting enough form back to be better than Deluca)
Bannister
Russell
Setanta (got a bit better last week but why bother with anyone else)
Prendergast/Edwards/Flint (would prefer Flint but otherwise it's a toss up)

Line-up:

B: Bannister Whitnall Saddington
HB: Walker Thornton Russell
C: Simpson Stevens Houlihan
HF: Murphy Kennedy Scotland
F: Wiggins Fevola Setanta

R: French Bentick Carrazzo

I: Lappin Blackwell McLaren Edwards/Prenda/Flint

Instructions: Run and carry from half-back, preference to pass off by hand to a player in space. Keep the runners on the outside of the congested play as much as possible and move into the corridor where possible. If the forward line is congested continue carrying the ball into the 50 and either kick to the leading player's space or kick to about 40-45 out and JK will bring the crumbers into it. Failing that put it to the top of the goal square.

Livo wont play cos there's no suitable match up for him. We could play him forward but that will never happen.
