2 x 70+ point losses in 3 weeks. I'm sure Denis is as happy as can be. :?

Obviously Fev has Tuesdays off from his job at NASA.

It could just be no one speaks openly to Fev about their dislike of Denis because they get along so well.

All you haters and all you playahs can take that one to sleep at night. :P

Why would Dennis have a worry in the world?? He's got the greenest of retirement paddocks ready & waiting. Nothing to worried about.

Jim, I shoulda thrown in a :garthp: ....players are very predictable in the way they feed the chooks these days.

Seeing as we're all repeating ourselves over and over, let me join in too;

Give me a Murphy, Bower and Kennedy aged 21, Batson and Blacky at 22, a Walker and Bentick, Betts and Russell, Hartlett and Smith at 23..... a Simpson, Carrazzo, Thornton and Fisher at 25, a Waite at 26, Fev at 28 and Stevo, Lance and Scotto at 29.

Then and only then, we'll have the basic structure for a side that will be competetive. Until then, the coach that could take this current team to success hasn't been invented yet.

Not playing under this crappy coach you wont .

I'm just speculating here, but won't he be a 100+ game player :? Or maybe you think he's no good and won't be part of our next premiership team, so trade him for pick 36 in the super draft?

I wonder if the Aints supporters were thinking that their future was crap in 2001 and 2002 afer their priority picks of 2000?

It's funny how we used to laugh at them for their pittifullness.... but, he who laughs last, laughs loudest. It's a real shame to see us fold like a bunch of Richmond and stkilda supporters  .

There is a big picture and a little picture...

We need to turn this club around...

At 23 Waite should have been showing more... same with everyone else.

something is falling down somewhere....

Drastic changes must be made not same ol same ol.. just cos we have picks!!!

Picks are one thing.. getting the most out of them is another...

Waite has underperformed.. and youd have to ask why!!!

Because he still has little fundamental flaws in his game that he has to work on... And it's time he turned it around!

Synbad, you're a typical supporter that over-rates their players because they are blinded by the colour of the jumper they wear. What makes you think Waite has under-acheived? Was he a champion at junior level? Would he have been chosen in the top 20 of the 2001 draft? I seriously doubt it.

It's that dreaded Shaw/Cloke flue that was rampant at Vic park for so long - the romantics disease.

FFS, he hadn't filled out sufficiently to warrant a game in our spoon season of 2002, he aint no Pavlich my frien, as much as it hurst to say.

He's capable of great football, but let's not get carried away with ourselves.

My only hope is that he can physically and mentally develope over the next 2 years as Fevola has.

to me Waite epitomises all of our kids.. they have promise but they run into a brick wall.. They cant take the extra step.. just as you think theyre beginning to they get knocked backwards.

My question is why????

Even Fitzroy had Pert and Roos etc...

Why cant the kids .. one of them.. take the extra step???

Can anyone answer that???

Dont just look at the obvious. (Theyre not that good),,, its something in the water thats killing them.

What is it???

I asked that question 12 months ago and got shouted out

there is a slight improvement which you expect and then nothing and some actually go backwards

Pagan has caused all of Waites injuries this year. :garthp:

Waite has continuosly improved under Pagan, it is far too early this year to make the call that he has gone backwards. See how he goes after a few games back from injury. Before his hammy(?) earlier this year he was looking good.

Surely you can come up with better examples of Pagan player mismanagement than Waite?

Yes i can but Waite is a kid thats 23 and even before or despite his injuries should be doing more.

Next year hes 24 .. and in football midlife...

Just had a look at what he has done this year.

Despite having an interrupted pre-season he is actually doing slightly better this year than last year per game.

... this is a list of all the 23 year old players around the same height as Waite (190cm-199cm).

Ashley HANSEN
Ben RUTTEN
Charlie GARDINER
Dale MORRIS
Daniel GILMORE
Drew PETRIE
Henry PLAYFAIR
Jamie CHARMAN
Jarrad WAITE
Jaymie GRAHAM
Jordon BANNISTER
Justin KOSCHITZKE
Luke LIVINGSTON
Nathan BOCK
Nick RIEWOLDT
Paul CHAMBERS
Quinten LYNCH
Richard HADLEY
Robert CAMPBELL
Ryan LONIE
Sam HUNT
Sam FISHER
Scott THORNTON
Setanta O'HAILPIN
Ted RICHARDS
Tom DAVIDSON
Trent HENTSCHEL
Wayde SKIPPER

He compares well to that list, especially considering he has been playing in the worst team in the competiton.

I just think Waite is a bad example, that's all.

I agree. For what Waite showed in that Hawthorn game last year... you would think he was on the way to being a superstar.

I know he has had injuries... but is it where they are asking him to play?
I am trying to remember where he got most of his possies in that hawthorn game..was it chf or on the flanks?

maybe they are getting the wrong match ups?

either way - waite really hasn't shown that much since last year.
