I am hoping some of the home truths between players and coaches yesterday reveiled the players don't like the game style. Could that meeting be the catalyst for an onfield turnaround in player confidence and game style?

IN: Livo, Sporn, French.
OUT: Betts, Deluca, Waite.

Throw Lance forward. IIRC Livo played on McGregor in last year's corresponding game and beat him quite comfortably. Sporn had over 30 possessions again in the VFL and I would pick Prender but this is what I THINK will happen not what I personally would do. Betts can't get a kick at the moment, French should come in and strengthen the ruck against a team with an equally suspect ruck division.

I wouldn't be surprised if Carrazzo is dropped this week  . I'd like to see Sporn get a game.

Not sure why we can't play Setanta in defence.

All I seem to hear is that he is not ready for AFL footy - cannot read the game, blah, blah.

Play him in defence and tell him to punch the crap out of the ball that comes near him and try not to get reported.

In
Prender
Russell
Sporn
Bannister

Out
Waite
Betts
McGrath
Lappin - he needs a stint in the ressie's

Maybe if he found the ball and could use it properly then this wouldn't be an issue.
People on this site over rate Carazzo big time. He is just a good ordinary player

Whats wrong with McLaren???
I think he's a great player and will be needed in the future.
As for Deluca... He won't be (unless he learns how to mark)

I'll go for...

In: French, Russell, Prenda, Bannister, Sporn, Livingston
Out: Waite (inj), DeLuca, McGrath, Betts, Saddington, Kouta (rested)

Hmm, that looks like too many changes. However, let's see what happens. So my team would be:

B: Carrazzo Livingston McLaren
HB: Lappin Thornton Walker
C: Simpson Stevens Wiggins
HF: Houlihan Whitnall Scotland
F: Kennedy Fevola Blackwell
R: French Bentick Murphy
I: Bannister Prenda Sporn Russell

Pagan had said repeatedly that there will not be wholesale changes to the team so we might see one or two replacements. He also says that he is trying to give time to some of our players to see what they have got, which I am all for, but as many people here have said: I have no idea how Deluca gets a game.

I think persist with those that are going to be the future, drop those that have been in the game for two or three years that have showed nothing in that time.

Although having said that I thought Maclaren has been doing ok and he did a few good things against the saints.

I would like to see Russell brought in and maybe even the big Irish man, give him a few consecutive games not as a key forward and see how he goes.

If Waite had to be injurred at all then I would have preferred for his injury to be listed as a 8 week one (Carlton players always seem to have their injuries underated in terms of recovery time) so we could promote someone like Flint. See what the kids got.

He will make wholesale changes this week. He needs to continue to deflect responsibility. This week the players will pay.

My boy is JR, but yes Carrazzo didn't have the best of games for the second week in a row. I'd prefer he was sent back to the back pocket to regain some form instead of bringing up the tried and failed like Chambers, Bannister, Sporn of Longmuir.

But that's virtually where he's been playing :?

Some games (in defense), the rest either playing as a defensive forward or a tagger.

Should get a real run in the middle.

Deluca out, French in - We need to have a big body in the team who can drop back to block a fwd or go fwd to take a mark in the square. Deluca wont do this, he just runs around and tackles every now and agaoin to look good. Even Prenda could ruck better and would certainly do better around the ground.

Waite out, Prenda in if they dont swap deluca and french. Prenda has good engine and some height.

I know Tex has been good for us in the backline but how about letting him have a go doing whatever he wants...somebody like that could change the game for us.

Let blackwell have game time, and let kennedy stay at CHF all game.

I dont mind if Kouta or stevens gets dropped (they wont) because they have both been under par. At least if they are playing shit in the middle swap them up fwd they can be handy there at least and they have to be matched up. Scotland and hoola need to do somthing cause id rather russle be in for hoola atm.

This weeks TEAM.

Backs. Carrots T-Bird McGrath
Half Backs. Saddington Whits Symo
Centres. Tex Bentick Russle
Half Fwd. Blackwell Kennedy Wiggins
Fwds. Bets Fev Kouta
Foll. French Stevens Murph

Inta. Hoola, Prenda, Mclaren, Scotland

Keys - Bets must stay under Fev, let the kids run and carry, play one on one make us a chance coming fwd rather then make fev always have to try and beat 3.

Denis suggests that Barnaby will be back after big game for ants.......

http://afl.com.au/default.asp?pg=news&s ... eid=268341

Quote - "Pagan did say ruckman Barnaby French would probably be recalled after the big man was "outstanding" in the VFL last week."
