This is the official thread in support of getting Colin DeLutis to Carlton. Don't know much about him but appeared to be willing to spend a lot of time at the club and not just there to get his name in lights. John Elliott was confident enough to come out and say that he is a future president of Carlton, that won't mean much to some of you but it should. Elliott was a fool but wouldn't give someone the presidency unless he could do the job properly.

And for those of you that beat your chest out and say 'He called us white ants he should never be allowed back at Carlton' - get over yourselves.

Colin Delutis is no longer at Carlton? He does not follow the Blues anymore? When you get him back to Carlton what do you want him to do?
I think it is fantastic that he:
-will spend lots of time at the club
-does not want his name in lights
-Elliott thought he was no fool
-Elliott thought he could be President
Hey, CG did you know he is one of Eddie McGuires mates? I think he could be Carlton's version of Eddie McGuire.
Yeh lets get him, he could help the cheer squad make the banner. They spend a lot of time down at the club and don't get their name in lights.

its time to move on and embrace new supporters of the club. Why go backwards for and turn to the old crew who all played a part in getting us in the situation we are in now

At 0.20 posts per day, Carlton God disappoints again. Down on quantity, down on quality!

Can we get a character reference from someone other than Elliot? You know what I mean? Someone more reputable. Otherwise the reference fails the credibility stakes from where it starts.

Interesting one from you Carlton God.

You nominate a person(that you admit you know little about )based on your nominee being a frequent visitor to the Club.Even worse you sell the merits of him coming with Elliots recommendation!

You've lost it CG!

a recommendation from a deity. They don't come much better than that. If the Great One recommends DeLutis I reckon we should go for it ....

I'd be prepared to give him a second chance even after his boorish performance at the meeting but if the only recommendation is a character reference from Elliott then no thanks.

In a conversation I had with Elliott, he stated that there were no decent presidential candidates on the board, but de Lutis would be the next best choice.

A ringing endorsement.

Me thinks you people have been sucked in once again, surely he put that post up to see how many bites he could get. Best of all, it was the usual suspects who bit first.

I actually agree with the sentiment, whatever the motive. I would like to see Colin Delutis back at the club in an official capcity. He's the right age, has obvious business acumen and is a passionate Blue.
