A colleague in Adelaide told me it was "reported" on 5AA last week that Stephen Kernahan was seen having lunch with Andrew Jarman 40kms out of Adelaide.

The inference was the lunch was about the possibility of Jarman taking on an assistant coaching role with a view to take over the senior mantle.

I have no idea as to the credibility of this, but seeing as Jarman has come up, I thought I'd mention it

You bloody ripper if this is true................Would love Jars at Carlton, have been hoping this would happen for a while

It's just a Cocky Crow-eater enjoying the moment. Don't encourage the fool by taking the bait!! …. We know the value of Fev these days.

It’s interesting that he spends the second half of the article giving Choco Williams advice on how to coach …..What sort of record did he have coaching the local footy over in SA?? Is he really qualified to give advice?? Or just using his “journalisticâ€

I heard this fourth hand as well. It appears that Sticks is doing some great scouting work behind the scenes. My mail says he is looking for passionate skills coaches and not so much for successors, but he is looking in the right direction. I heard that he was responsible for the 3 Glenelg boys who were in our room prior to the Crows match. Bryce Gibbs was one. Not sure of the other two though. Apparently he has been spending some time in WA as well. Could he be looking at potential draft selections or is his friendship with the "Duke of Earl" (current Dockers assistant coach) gunna take a new twist? His old mates network is being brought into play. Go Big Fella. Legend!! 8)

*Edit...Just picked up on another thread that 1 of the other lads was James Sellar who is also from Glenelg. So Gibbs and Sellar as well as their fathers. Maybe there wasn't a 3rd lad, but very proactive of the club. *

Personally I cant stand Jarman, however he has done a great job with North Adelaide, particularly with their skills.

North are with out a doubt the most skilled team in the SANFL competition.

He is obviously doing an apprenticeship for a bigger AFL job in the future and love him or hate him he knows football pretty well.

I reckon Jarman would be a better midfield coach than Libba. We got torn a part in the middle on sat and last sun.

You can blame the quality of our playing list, but even kids can be accountable for their men. We play loose shitty football and I am sick of Pagan driibling about how hard it is all the time. I dont care how HARD it is just get the players to be ACCOUNTABLE.

Who copy edits this shit. Very poor Adelaide advertiser, very poor.

Lose not Loose, or not of...

I too questions Pagan's game plan but geez, I think it was a bit tough on Fev. Can't see it being taken for anything more than a hasbeen (perhaps neverwas) criticising elite players for doing something that he built his career on...

As I said earlier in the thread, time for this hack to get himself a "Used Car Yard" with his ugly face plastered on the billboard on Main North Road like every other past and present Adelaide hack has done.

But you haven't heard the best part of this story...

5AA then interviewed Jars the next day. Cornsey or KG were saying that they thought Jars had been a bit harsh and that Fev had played quite well.

Then Jars revealed that he hadn't actually seen the match and had written the story before the game had even been played!!

Very naughty of Jars, but soooo funny he got caught out!!

True story...

Don't know what you guys are on about, It's a very fair assessment, Fevola is a dumb and lazy player, no doubt about that. And Jarman is spot on in regards to the game plan after half time.

He has tried to change his game this year and has been geat all year...Look he didn't have a great game on the weekend but he has been busting his gut week in week out and look at the results...And don't come back to me and complain about me attacking you because Fevola doesn't deserve this...No doubt about that

He doesn't bust his guts week in week out!!!!!!!!! What the hell are u watching man??? Like the rest of the team he has no 2nd efforts, You and a lot of people here have forgotten what it's like to win games, you have to work a lot harder than that to win games! You guys have lowered the standard of expectation on players.

Did you not see how he pretends to slip and falls to the ground so he doesn't have to chase???? Did you see how long he takes to get up?????He does it ALL the time!! Just because YOU didn't see it doesn't mean I am wrong!

busting his gut.. pfft!!

Do you not see when he chases the defender all of the way up the wing...Did you not see when he ran Pickett (?) down from behind after a long chase...I think you need to look a bit harder...Plus, how would you feel having to chase the opposing defender out of 50 more times than not when the ball enters the area...Brendan has made an effort in chasing his man this year and working hard...Why is it that many others can see it but you can't?
