Thornton was probably our only player to convincingly beat his man all day.

Fevola yet again a great performance in a poor team effort.

Murphy is already our no 1 on-baller.

Simmo never gives up.

Eddie Betts - bloody well leave him on the ground and in the forward line Denis!! He creates goals, is just our best set shot, causes turnovers (for US not them) and makes the opposition backmen doubt themselves. He doesn't need 25 touches per game. Can his team mates stop curcifying him though by not kicking to him on one-out marking contests with guys 50cm taller than him?

I am convinced Wiggins is a new man.

It was also good to see McLaren come in and give one of the Port players a heavy side on bump in the contest that left him feeling worse for wear.

Agree on most of that - except Treadrea is not the player that he was I would have expected Thornton to nail him, still you can only beat the player in front of you I suppose.

Teague - kept trying, put his body on the line and that's more than you can say for his teammates that can kick.

I don't recall saying he was the future or praising his skill.

Matty was in the mix a lot today - maybe didnt do as much with the pill as you'd like, but he was there and helped out a lot

Whitnall - usual high standard and some nice goal kicking

Teague - not a highly skilled player obviously, but his absolute endeavour and tenacity should earn him a spot for the rest of the season as far as I'm concerned

Eddie Betts - had a crack today and hopefully a sign of things to come as we've really missed him having a presence on the field

He was far from the worst. And, has more guts than players twice his size.

Did more than most today.

Scotland will be effective the day he stops running in circles as soon as he gets the ball.

(sound of crickets chirping while waiting for response)

And who would you have take his spot in the side???

Who better to show the rest of the Club what it takes to put your body on the line to win the ball / spoil a mark etc.

Like when Scotland kicks laterally after ignoring teammates who had presented up the ground and screaming for the ball.

Teague went well today  err i must have been watching a different Match then

He got what 7 kicks of which 5 landed in the hands of Port players or to the advantage ... i think 4 of those 5 resulted in Goals directly to Port on the rebound.
He may be a nice bloke and he may try but as for disposals has to be the worst in our team and seeing as our team isnt good being the worst in a team that is average on disposal is not good regardless of how hard you try

First senior game I've gotten along to for a couple of years. Biggest positive for me was the risk taking and aggressive running the 2nd half. They botched it up a few times, but they were at least taking them on.

Agree with many others. Fev was excellent. Thornton was very good. Whitnall was superb in defence after half time. Just think how much better we'll be if we pick up an extra gun key position early in the next draft.

Continuing good form of Murphy, Simmo and Bentick. Nice to see Eddie Betts getting a couple of goals reward for effort today.

Second half tackling was also good.

Murphy again showing that he's all class. It's refreshing, as a carlton supporter, to not care about what other teams got with their 1st round picks because you know we go the best. As for Teague, his courage may be admirable but I'd jump head first in front of the AFL's biggest and hairiest for match payments. Courage is great but it needs to come with an adequate dose of skill to warrant a spot at senior level.

Well there where positives as people said

Fev Was great again
Murph continues to be our best Midfielder
Walker continues to show and play at consistant levels.

That's the spirit.

Everyone finds delight in things differently. Otherwise we'd all be robots (or Collingwood players).

The weather was fantastic for golf today!

Great to hear Murph, TBird, Fev, Lance, Tex & Simmo doing well (must admit Simmo was originally on my dud list but he has now been removed).

Is Wiggo really going that well?

Wiggo was good ... (I'll have to remove him from my delistings) Ran hard all day to provide an target. That's 3 good games on end!!
Murrrrrph & Tex ... classy kids those two.
Lance .... as usual (Captain 2007 )
Fev .... fought it right out to the end ... refs robbed him of a 6th goal.
Scotland ... can't question his effort ... just keeps running & running, never drops his head.
Simmo .... can't wait for his body to grow as big as his Khahunas.
