A shame, but probably already poured plenty in over the years.

Even a 2 mill interest free loan would be nice.

Repay $100,000 over 20 years.

Every bit counts.

There's nothing in the article that suggests Pratt has knocked it back - no qoutes from Pratt and the only qoute from Smorgan is that he doesn't disclose discussions of private meetings.

Poor journalism and nothing factual.

Let's just wait until years' end, how bout that?

I really wish I hadn't clicked on that link..... because as if the article wasn't poor enough - then I read their summation of today's game:

"For Carlton, there were very few positives, with six of their 12 goals coming in the final term when the contest was decided."

That just irks me, no end.... I was feeling really disappointed until we stood up to be counted after half time. I won't hijack this thread - but that's two weeks in a row I can't agree with the pessimistic view of our effort that the Herald Sun has come out with....

I hate newspapers, sometimes..... and God I wish I had 7 million to give.....

You are very hot on this topic Wangers - staking your credibility on the line by talking about the 'takeover'/'bailout' as a certainty.

By god I hope you're right.

No doubt he is forming a ticket, he just needs time to make sure he gets it right. Why do you think Collo walked out???????

I know a bloke who works for Pratty as an exec in one of his companies. He tells me he's asked him if he will be rescueing the Blues and Pratty say "I never said I'd do that" but has yet to catagorically deny it will happen.

When asked why the board has to resign he then says "things need to change and some people need to go" which implies that he does have some kind of plan.

He apparantly already tips in $2m Per annum to the club

This may be old news, but from what Sticks/Caro on AW said, John Valmorbida organised a "Beer Hall Putsch" against Collo at John's Toorak home, some directors invited some not i.e Sticks. Basically Collo got wind of it and said this is all too much. Smorgo it's yours, hence his non attendance at the board meeting following.
Valmorbida is now a vice-president

I'm reading between the lines and making 2 + 2 = 5, but I reckon it will only happen after the AFL hand over the cash they "raped" off us a few years ago. AFL will be less inclined to hand it over if Pratt comes to the party now.

Powder is being kept dry IMHO.

The AFL will be even more less inclined to hand over cash if we sacked Pagan with 2.5 years of his contract to go

Didn't worry St Kilda when they showed Malcolm Blight the door.

And I agree that Pratt is sitting it all out so we are in a poorer situation and more desperate as far as the AFL is concerned.

He'll come to the rescue after they've then done their bit.

In business, it's all about timing...

Guys, we were 3 numbers and 10 other winners away from a bail out on Sat Night!! I would have made do with 20 of the $27mil, that's the kind of big hearted guy that I am.

word around is that the AFL are a little reluctant to hand over any money as they know Richard will bail out this club
