Just a bit of an idea
Should we play Kennedy against the Eagles or even just take him over to Perth and seeing as we have the bye the next week let him spend a couple of days with his faimly in Perth.
It might just give him a bit of a break and a chance to catch up with his parents as long as he did the right recovery I think it could be very benificial for him.

Any thoughts?

Blackers is a West Aussie too....

Why not both of them?

In fact, why dump either of them!

I reckon that's exactly what they'll do. Play him Sunday, and maybe even Blackwell, and let him stay over for 3-4 days.

Makes sense to me.

I forgot about little Blackers
Let him have a break as well.
Don't most players get a few days off anyway? They should just have theirs in Perth.

play him.

Would anybody object to doing something similar to what Collingwood did with Dale Thomas? (Ie send him home for a rest???)
We could play him against West Coast and give him a week at home?

Just a thought? JUST A THOUGHT?

If you take Eddie as an example, I think every time we have played Freo or WCE in WA he has been dropped.

We should take the WA boys over, but what happens if they realize they miss it over there ??

What about Eddie Betts - then there is Chambers and Longmuir they must have friends over there.

Hell there must be more on the list that come from WA - Why go over and play footy we only suck at it anyway .

What a boost to morale it would give the players

Aren't they going to find that out when they go home in the off season? Maybe, if that is going to be the case you are better off knowing earlier.

Pagan should be palying the kids anyway.

I think I might give AGRO his money and help get rid of the PAGAN.

He is coaching like a bloody idiot.

It's a good idea to send them over as they will appreciate it and so will their families.

It's quite rare for a player from interstate living in Melbourne who gets homesick enough to want to go back.

As opposed to a player living in WA or SA or even QLD getting a bit homesick and wanting to get back their families in a couple of years.

You can disappear in Melbourne and QLD to a certain extent but not in WA or SA, where the fishbowl is minute.

Rather Kennedy get depressed in the off season than during it..

I think I read somewhere Paul Bower's going home for a few days anyway.

Mid year break is supposed to be just that ...a break away with your family & friends to refresh. Hope all the players can go home & relax for a bit.

Spot on budzy. Bower told us at the sponsorship dinner that he was going home this week & he will be watching the game at subi as well. They get about 5 days off. Blackers & JK will travel over to Perth anyway - it would just be better if they were playing!!

I reckon Chambers has been selected in nearly every WA game since he came across. I might be wrong but it seems that way.

I heard on SEN the other day that Pagan was asked about Kennedy and he said:

" I think it's best to rest your young players so that you don't burn them out. It's hard for a younster to play in a loosing side all the time. We gave him a rest in the Vfl and he kicked 3 goals took afew marks so that would of been more beneficial." Something along those lines anyhow. I think he said he might bring him back in for the eagles clash..

I also heard sticks was saying to someone that during the midseason break they were going to sit down and go through the list and see who they are going to play for the remainder of the season, and who to not worry about anymore (so to speak).

Sounds like a cleanup is on the way..

Anyone else hear this???? I wasn't half alseep dreaming was i ?

We need a clear recruitment and development strategy devised for the next 3 to 5 years - based on what we need to add to the list at the moment and address the deficiencies (and there are many).

Of course, all this will need to compliment the brand of football we intend on playing. Hopefully, not defensive.
