I am an AFL member with Carlton Club Support, this is an optional choice to make for a little bit extra. I have always understood that this is the equivalent of being a Carlton member and I know for a fact that it is counted in the membership tallies.

I have noticed people mention a 'lifestyles' book with part of the membership package and I rang the club to enquire where mine is. I have been told that as an AFL club support member I do not qualify for this book unless I get an upgraded membership - platinum etc.

Is anyone else in my position but have received this book? I have a feeling that the membership woman was talking through her arse. It is nice that I am looked upon as a second class member even though the club benefits just as much as a normal member. Input from anyone?

I know I didn't receive it until I became a gold member (3 years ago) or was that when Clublifestyle started?

Both me and my boyfriend are, and we haven't received the book, so I'd assume she was telling the truth. Wonder what else we miss out on as club support, doesn't bother me too much though

She is telling the truth. I have upgraded to AFL Social CLub Member for the last 4 seasons, so do receive the Lifestyle package ... mind you I have virtually never used such things.

You're kidding aren't you?

There are stacks of savings, if you just use them.

5% discount at Coles and Safeway/Woolworths (including petrol) is reason enough. Shop at Safeway, get your 4c/litre discount, and then get 5% off at the register. At today's prices, that about 10c/litre.

George and Heady....

I disagree...
Just takes a bit og organisation and away you go,...
Things I use constantly (asside from the tear out Brumbys , KFC, etc vouchers) is the discount vouchers for shopping and aquarium tickets and the discount 25% (up to $25) at Taco Bills.

Needsless to say, you use these once or twice during the year and it's a bargain.

BUT had a boys night out (actually weekend away 1st time since kids arrived) in January. ....went to Taco Bills and kept drinking those Margeritas where they goive you the hat. After much food and Tequilla, the manager said, well I know it's a max of $25 but I'll give you the 25% outright...about a $60
discount...worth it there and then.....and yes...straight to the pub...but that wasn't the point.....

I think it's REALLY worthwhile!

Am I a tightarse??? Anyone...anyone....
