Can we beat the 'roos?

OK - there was talk \that we could have won at Subi in Round 11, and we should have (it was heart-breaking to hear).

But given the 'roos' recent form, do we have a chance at leap-frogging them?

doubt carlton can win.
they usually do just enough against the opposition to lose.
see games against sydney, fremantle, hawthorn and richmond.

You sure you're a Carlton supporter? We're always a chance.

We will thump the Roos into next week.

(Sorry I am still basking in the euphoria of a 3-1 victory over Japan and I am not thinking straight....but I still think we will thump the Roos into next week, despite Abaddon putting the heebie-jeebies on us).

Will be interesting to see whether the performance/result against West Coast:

a) inspires us to greater things
b) has little or no impact
c) totally deflates the players

Damn. That game was worth so much more to us than the 4 points on offer. The self-belief and confidence a win would have given us would have been priceless.

I'll go for a), and predict we'll thump the Roos. They're a homeless, dispirited rabble at present.

Regardless of the result, all Carlton fans should prepare themselves for a horrible, flooding game, and not due to our hands. The Kangaroos would have to be the worst team to watch at the moment, filling their back lines at all opportunity and relying solely (for you CK) on Thompson to look good going forward. Thompson is in great form and Thornton, who has played on him before, will have his work cut out for him.

But dont blame Pagan, Synbad, me, God or anyone for the shocking game that this will be. Blame LAIDLEY.

I was absolutely devastated after that match at Subi! My mother-in-law congratulated me on the win and I had to make her take it back - that is how close we got! But will the Subi Hoodoo allow the Roos to thump us? Or will the week off work in our favours?

We should win, Roos defence isn't the best and Fev is in great form, who have they got that can stop him.

Rocca is out and he normally plays well against us, if we can stop Thompson they will find it hard to kick a winning score. Lance might be able to play a bit up forward due the the Roos lack of height in the forward line.

Scotland, Stevens and Houlihan played their best games for a while against the Eagles and will be looking for some consistency. Murphy is the king also, lol.

i saw the bump for the first time be4 and that can't be serious, it was a normal hip and shoulder, Rosa isn't a hugely built kid so of course he would have felt it a bit more. If he goes for that then there will be 10 suspensions a week.

There may be a lot of posters on here who think that we should buy out Pagan's contract but I think that Laidley is in a worse position and a loss to us and he may well resign at season's end.

I'm not so sure now - just realised Hay is in the VFL and Rawlings has been suspended. If Petrie gets dropped North are certainties to win.

Naah .. two people came up to me today to congratulate me. I wonder if they know that it's not the number of quarters that we win, its the score at the end (or, if its the number of quarters won, at least win the last one!!!

At least they're trying to take an interest .. not like Mrs terg
