The reselection of Deluca is the final straw! I was going to be there tonight to hopefully watch a rare victory but after seeing the selections I have decided to boycott the game in protest!

I cant understand how Blackwells 30 touches last week was not enough to see him promoted yet Deluca and McLaren get a gig. Deluca was less than impressive last week from what I saw. McLaren was OK but nothing special also. Kennedy (unavailable), Carrazzo and Blackwell were our best last week

Dont give me team balance crap b/c as far as I am concerned there is no team balance involving a big lanky, soft, substandard player like Deluca yet week after week they play him.

I am so angry i will not attend any games this year in which he is named and i encourage others to do the same.

To quote DP "dont piss down my back and tell me its raining" developing players and youth policy my arse!

i havent been a member for over 20 yrs and pay my membership fees each year for them to tank it half way through the year.

I have never thought i would say this but next year may be my last night as a member unless things change. I will always love the club but its time i took a personal stand

There are always players I watch / barrack for more than others.

Tonight in my triumphant return to footy Im barracking for Murphy, Russell, Carrots, Kennedy if he plays and a few others.

How about you turn up and just cheer for the guys you like? Staying away benefits no-one.

Wont be going either .Live in Geelong and dont get home till midnight and partner has to work at 7.But having 2 grabs prancing around in the pocket whilst Blackers cools his heels doesnt inspire me to go.And there are plenty of day games left.

I don't really understand the tearing up memberships and boycotting games argument's.

If you love the club you should be able to suffer through watching Deluca. I'd rather do that than miss out on seeing Murphy, Walker, Simpson, Russell and Kennedy.

It'd be nice to see Blackers too, but he'll get his chance and Denis has explained the reasons why he doesn't want to play too many youngsters together. He may be wrong, but why miss out on seeing the other kids to make a point Denis and the match commitee are never going to see?

Gee Headcutter,

I wish I lived in Melbourne because I'd be there to see every game. But you see, us interstaters aren't in the priviliged position you guys in Melbourne are. Maybe you should be thankful for the right to see Carlton three in every four games - I know plenty of people in plenty of locations over whichever border you can name who would give anything to be able to see the Blues play whenever they possibly could.

But you walk away... I guess that in your twenty years of being a member, it is only fair to forget that this club has given you fifteen pretty good seasons. No point in sticking by them really. It's not like they need you or anything.

Im all for youth and would love young Blackers to play but boycott - Im taking a couple of Dardews and another and meeting a number of Carlton people there - not sure De Luca will make it but will be hoping the big ARCH helps us to victory tonight

I would if they were coming from a nine year old

But seeing as it's a grown man, I'm with you Brad.

Now, only if he could play for Italy...his name would be enough to guarantee a spot in the Italian side. Except it would have to be Adriano De Luca.

Those of you that threaten to tear up your memberships are just weak...Seriously, go ahead and do it because our club doesn't need supporters like you...Like others have said, how is boycotting the game going to benefit the club? The players need all of the support they can get...In fact, I urge as many of you to get down there tonight and support the boys regardless of who is playing...May even meet some of you there

GO BLUES :!:

Agree with that and will be attending tonights game for that reason.
But at the same time I really hate watching Deluca play. Why do we persist with guys who will not make it???

Again, whether he's right or wrong I think Denis has explained this.
