I performed a dictionary search after tonights game using a new wizbang progran I downloaded recently and by golly it's sooooo acurate its uncanny.

I typed in Dylan McClaren and this is what it spat back out at me.

futile
ineffective
ineffectual
inutile
otiose
unavailing
uneffective
unprofitable
unserviceable
unuseable

The thesaurus part of the program spat out this:
"Having no beneficial use or incapable of functioning usefully".

The only thing it missed out on was "Big useless pile of shit".C

For christ sake who was responsible for his recruitment to the club, if I remember correctly we were all over him????

Can anyone tell me whether any other players taken after him in that draft have shown anything?

He is a trier .. thats all.

At Brisbane all he had to do was cause a spillage to the ground by contesting.
At Carlton wed be expecting Murph to take the ball away....

Just a tripper coach.. and a trippy MC .. seeing trippy shit in people to do stuff that they wernt cut out to do.

Ill give DM credit for trying.....

I would like to see Bryan get a crack now...

All this blue collar stuff.... "Nah he doesnt show intensity".. is ridiculous.... cos what he does do is he has a couple of weapons that suit a game plan if you can make them functional.

The trick is to use your tongue like a $60 hooker to get someone to nominate and come...

Someone who can make a difference .

so what if he gets a go. the point is he'll be used to bag the club just like every other poor sucker in ablue jumper.

No one is shite anymore, they are all great stars just waiting for a great coach

see this is what YOU DONT GET my dear dannyboy.

we dont even know what he can do cos we dont play him.
Yet we know what Teague can and cannot do ...

Teague can be courageous ( the one time each three games he is called upon to show it in this watered down contact sport 2006.)

But can we take a look at Bryan is what im asking...

and youre replies are silly....he wont get bagged by anyone if he plays ok..... but we dont know what he will do.. do we???... so we dont know how we will react ... do we???

Dannyboy... play him and see what happens..... then if he is shit he might get bagged.....

I actually had a look at him on telly and he made some booboos... but so too does everybody else...

But he can mark and kick.... long..... something we lack.

Like i said. play him and see what happens.... and when i say play him i mean a few games and not on the bench.

na its not the boobnoos oits the lack of body contact, the lack of movement - jesus DeLuca and McLaren made him look second rate on the weekend - that's why they got picked and he didn't.

what I would like to see happen is Bryan dropped to the ressies and promote batson or aisake.

That would actually decribe more players than Bryan.... and he isnt as bad as that.....

Play him and see what happens........ :P

Geez Mr Knackers aggression, aggression aggression.
Its so easy while you can hide in total anonymity isn't it.

I'm all in tears now.....boo hoo.

For your benefit I did a dictionary search on Knackers and the "computer said noooo".

No it didn't...only joking....this is what it actually said:

aggressiveness
hostility

As for the thesaurus:

A disposition to behave aggressively
A feeling of hostility that arouses thoughts of attack
Violent action that is hostile and usually unprovoked
The act of initiating hostilities
Deliberately unfriendly behaviour

Quite remarkable wouldn't you say?

No seriously, I'm sorry, I didn't realize that I'm not allowed an opinion on this site any longer.....One of the reasons I frequent it less often these days in fact.

The free porn sites are so much more fun!

Some of you should lighten up a little and stop being so aggressive. If you don't like a post, either ignor it, or why not try a the novel approach of compiling a factual argument to sit someone like me back on my arse......F@%&#! off...come on you can do better than that...or can you?

It gets a little boring when you continually read "you're a troll" and the "F@%&#! offs! and the "you don't love the club as much as me" theme shit.

One of the fantastic things about our game is the fact that we all have different opinions, emotions, loyalties etc...... all in a land where we can all practice our freedom of speech.....or not, so it seems!

But meanwhile Mr Knackers, and all those who support you including your best mate Jock Strap, I appologise for upsetting you by attempting to add a little humour to my opinion on Mr McClaren.

F.Y.I: I have been flying the flag for over 40 years and I am as proud of my club as the next supporter. That doesn't mean I have to have to think that every player that pulls on a Carlton Jumper is a Champion. I respect Mr McClaren and his type for their efforts...however if a player hasn't got it...he hasn't got it.....and Mr Knackers we have just a few more than a couple of these.....but things are looking up!

Now you can go back to blowing sunshine up someone else's arse...Suggested topics....Wiggins, Sporn, Davies and a few others.

P.S Thanks Synbad for the usual gentlemenly reply.

It's moments like these I feel embarrassed to associate myself with Carlton supporters.

Having slept on things after a fairly rash early morning posting where I had a shot at Dylan McLaren I regret the method and use of words particularly the "shizen" comment.

I wasn't very happy having just watched him crudely jump into the opposition ruckman at a centre bounce... an ordinary looking action which resulted in a free kick and yet another easy as pie centre clearance. (One of many in the final ten minutes of the game which destroyed us).

Barnaby is a fair ruckman but unfortunately we do need someone else rather desperately to partner him....preferably someone with a bit of mobility.

I've also become frustrated at the fact that we have failed over the last 4 years or so to attract an out of contract player of notable skill and standing (ruck or other). Nick Stevens fell into our laps so we got lucky there.

With Kouta & Matty Lappin reaching the end of thier careers believe it or not we do need to introduce some mature players into the group and I'm not talking the type of Chambers, Longmuir etc.....not that I don't respect them for their efforts.....I'd better put that in or I might get crucified!

Yes I want all the young guns we can get our hands on, however we do need players 23yo to 26.....but we need to pick them up without trading any of our high picks....a conundrum that all clubs face I guess.

And we will not get a brass razoo for our delistings at the end of this season ....see seasons 2001 to 2005.

Agree totally.

One of the things which killed us when the match was slipping away was McLaren's clumsy rucking, and that free was probably the most obvious example.

Bananaby should have been on at the same time to allow McLaren to float forward or back, or vice versa. We got a goal scored against us when interchanging the 2 ruckmen, and a big man was needed on Hale.
